I had thought about providing traditional disks for delivery and even had a draft page with shopping cart and order facility - but I am not sure if the demand would be there - what I will do is write a brief explanation of how to transfer ADFS and DMSs to disks -

what would be great is if we could produce a self booting CD room of the 100 best pd games - I recently got the Assassins CD3 which has some great games on there Quik and Silver and Alien Fish Finger but equally has a lot of filler.

my intention was to provide a useful service to Amiga users (also i have some great memories of receiving PD disks in the post )

rather than make a business out of it... 99p pretty much covered costs and was around the price i paid for PD disks (NBS)

but i couldnt find anywhere that supplied new DD/DS disks

Yes I too have fond memories of receiving disks from Crazy Joes, Blitterchips and Virus Free PD in the post. I had about 500 disks of pd disks as it was the cheapest way to get games as a school kid at the time. I think I also paid for them with Postal Orders as I was too young to have a bank account.

I ve read your other thread and didn't realise Amigakit had stopped stocking disks. I still see disks sold in Maplin but have nt checked that they would be suitable for Amiga, but think I will next time I am in. I have loads of used disks but they have a high fail rate when copying new data on them. What was the issue with covering the holes on the disk?

The site isnt about making money - there are no ads etc - it is very much about trying to showcase the great games rather than archive every pd game. It has been a joy to find and play games that I was unaware of.

I was surprised to see Ork Attack isn't (yet) in the top 50 PD games...

Thanks for the link - ork attack is now added.

As mentioned previously I would love some help with this website. I am trying to produce a seperate page for each game featured in the monthly votes with a small review, video clip and screenshots. The games being voted on are listed below - after their title I have indicated what is currently missing (YV = Youtube video , S = Screen shots , R = review)

Alien Fish Finger - R, S
Adventures of Norris - YT, R, S
Beetle, R, S
Burton Bird, YT, R, S
Crazy Sue, R, S
Crazy Sue 2, , R, S
Doody, R, S
Dr Strange , YT, R, S
Dr Strange 2 - YT, R, S
Eric, YT, R,S
Fruit Salad, YT, R, S
Morton Strikes Back , YT, R, S
Quik and Silva, R,S
Top Secret , R,S
Trog, YT, R, S
Wibble World Giddy - R,
Wibble World Giddy 2 - R
Wonderland - YT, R, S

If anyone can help out with any of the above I would be most grateful.

@amigapd

Big question - do you have the registered version of the shareware game "Scavenge" ?

Also...What other registered Shareware games do you have?

Having a quick look - it seems I may have the demo - which looking at your other threads is something you too have - what I think I will add to the website is a request game and User recommendation page. These pages will contain downloads of games requested and found and a list of games still being searched for.

I will try to get that up and running for this week. In the meantime if there are games others are still searching for -please post them and I will add them to the new page.

Good idea....

Please put Scavenge top of the list :-)

I have screen shots that you can use and you can check the "Scavenge Amiga" Facebook page also for information!

I am still offering a 50 reward for the Full version of this game.

Thanks for the recommendations - I ve added a top ten 2 player / multiplayer page and included TurboRaketti II - there will be top tens for shootems and arcade and some other genres.

Thanks the links I do read them and although it is slow working on my own the website is evolving to meet users needs.

Keep up the good work - the site looks excellent - the slide show screen shots look really good - it really does highlight just how good some Amiga PD and Shareware games were...

Tell us a bit more about yourself amigapd... what's your Amiga background?
