OK talking about AGA and ECS in same post got me confused. Does the ECS Indi work fine with all monitors and is it just the AGA Mk2 with the issues?

I find it awful to talk about deadlines and deliveries when someone who always delivers what he promises (Jens) talks about health matters/problems of one of the developers. You people should not even continue such a conversation. Noones blood pressure depends on the indivision, thank god. So give the guys a break and arm yourselves with patience, as long as it is needed.

I'll wait patiently for a new core for the AGA mk2 as well.

I have 3 of the same Benq 19 inch TFT monitors( Samsung panel) intended for use with Amiga's. Working great without configuration for the Indivision ECS but no picture with the AGA mk2.

So it looks like my Benq monitors are pretty much unforgiving on the input signals.

Psychologically well done. So people who just want to send you back the device and wait that all is fixed to buy a new one will still more hesitated... Funny business! Just my point of view!
BUT it was not planed to have a second batch done in the future if I good remember ??

I see a problem the Indi has is it gets too hot. We have tried a fan over it with some good results. But what the fan does over it? It just colds the "other side", and there's almost no refrigeration for the chips.
So, as I see it, apart of the fan, the best thing to do is this, that I've just done:

I've cutted to size some copper plates to cool the rest of chips. I will put a fan over the Indi.

Thanks, but I believe it was the shadow in the photo that makes it seem that. Anyway I've reinserted it again. It gets perfect.

Edit: I've received today the indi I sent for inspection. By now it works perfectly (I've just tried it now), but I will put a fan before testing it for a long time with HighGfx.

EDIT: No, today I've seen I've got the same bars after a while with HighGfx. I hope it will be the software needed.

Sorry for posting twice. I'm wondering if it's possible to use the drivers for the monitors using the Indivision from the beginning. I mean, I want to use PicBoot. Can I?

This is an example, using HighGfx:

[ Show youtube player ]

I have to change with the remote from Ext to see PicBoot, to Hdmi later.

I found a boot picture program with source on aminet (can't get the link at the moment, the DB seems down). I modified that to work in EHB mode and I added a boing ball animation. Anyway, there would be a few considerations:

I wanted to use the program as the first line in startup-sequence. That is the reason I chose EHB mode over AGA. Until setpatch is run, I don't think you can use AGA modes.

Until your monitor files are loaded you are also going to be limited to video modes built into the kickstart rom unless you access the hardware directly. And if so, can you open a custom video mode in a system compatible way so the computer still boots?

To me that is further along in the boot process than I would like, and it sort of defeats the point of the program which is to throw something cool on the screen as soon as possible.

Anyway, I'm sure I could make it work if was loaded after the monitor file, but to me that sort of sucks and would be interested in hearing other ideas....

Sorry I said PicBoot, but it's BootScreen that I use. And it's after Setpatch.
But I should "charge" Devs and monitors first to use AGA...

I would like to hear how to make it .

BTW you are true, Aminet seems offline.

Just to report :

I am trying to take the opportunity given in this thread to send back the indivision mk2 to amigakit and get refund as this card is not usable for me and that the tools are not coming.
I wrote a message to amigakit support 10 days ago with a link of this thread with what jens said about refund. Until now I got no reply !!!
So, is this possibility accepted by the reseller ???
