you, my good friend, are AWESOME!

That is exactly what I had in mind!

just needs a bit of metal around the connector for the final finishing touch of awesomeness I'll make one from the now redundant upper shielding i have kicking around

EDIT - PS, How much are you charging for this and where/when can I place my order?

@kipper2k

Very cool... Can you put me down for a couple of cables, it's a lot more elegant than what I had in mind.

It's perfect. I'm glad you made it. I'll be for one, as I told you. I'm using the Rf place too, that's the best place.

Edit: It's incredible how the cable fits like a glove in the Rf hole (your first photo), and you've made the holes for the screws to get it perfect.

These are beautiful machines. Our 20 year old computer has SATA hard drives, USB ports, and DVI/HDMI output.

I guess I will take my miggy to my grave.

I'm glad that somebody listened my demands and that I didn't take much attention about others...

Hi,

Once I receive my MKII's and prove functionality of the adapter i will sell them. I'll sell the adapter, 20 pin custom length edge card cable and a modified HDMI cable with audio separately.

The price for the 20 pin custom cable is kinda high as i am only willing to buy in small amounts so i don't get stuck with a lot of unwanted parts... $7.50 Cad.

(you can always use the cable supplied with the MKII, and you can if you are careful remove one of the connectors, cut cable down and replace the connector. Don't try if you don't have a a decent crimper to squeeze the connector back on)

HDMI Adapter board itself... $10.00

HDMI 3foot custom cable with Audio breakout cable. $9.00

anyone requesting them will be in the list based on time of requesting to buy. I plan on making 25 of them unless i get lots of interest..

Shipping will be $8.75 if the weight is under 250gram for most places (This is actual cost for me to mail). Above 250gram Canada Post charge an extra $8.75. I'll weigh the parts on Monday so i can give a more accurate quote

3000 US spent and you dont even get 2% discount? Whats the point. 2% is so small for being such a power customer. Should be at least 10% its absurd

Proof of Concept - sound from HDMI

Heres a nice little video i'd like to share, notice no audio cables plugged into the Amiga

http://www.kipper2k.com/amigahdmi/video/hdmiaudio.html

pretty big file so pause to allow it to download before playing if your connection is slow.

Amiga 1200, video output is S-video through my svideo board, sound is fed through the 2 pin header on the HDMI adapter through the HDMI cable and breaks out and then fed to L & R channel audio

Thanks.

@thread,

Just to clear up a few things as i have had a few people msg me about what does what etc...

The HDMI adapter plugs into the 20 pin cable that comes with the MKII Indivision (or my custom length cable) so you can plug a HDMI cable into the HDMI adapter without the need of using the DVI adapter board that comes with the MKII.

The Audio from the HDMI adapter board is provided from the L & R channel audio outputs (bottom of motherboard) by soldering a Wire to each channel and then connecting the 2 pin connector (i supply) to the HDMI adapter. The signals travel through the HDMI cable (3 foot) and then the wires break out so you can plug them into your audio input on TV/monitor.

The 20 pin custom cable is for people that want to use a custom length cable from the MKII to the HDMI Adapter board. (You do not need this unless you want to tidy up your cable lengths etc)

Hope this explains everything

Edit... The HDMI cable i supply is 3 feet, if you want to use a bigger size i can provide info on how to do it, but you will have to sacrifice at least 1 cable in order to find wire colour pinouts

ok cool.

So you don't need to move any motherboard components to fit the HDMI adapter (apart from the RF modulator)?

I assume that you could skip the audio input part of the HDMI adapter and just run the HDMI signal without audio.
