New Here

Hello there

I am new here. Just also recently registered at Lemon Amiga.

I have an A2000 and 2 x A1200's that I call 'The Twins'

Currently looking for a very nice example of A500

I have rediscovered Amiga this year after years of PC ownership. I know I am getting old but I cannot believe it was 1994 when I sold my Amiga and bought a DX2 66 486 PC. It seems so long ago.

I have bought some original software from ebay to relive the games I used to play.

Hi dsyde and welcome to EAB!

You can either attach them or put them on an imagehoster and then embed them here. When you post look for 'Manage Attachments'. Anyway, enjoy your stay

btw the 2000 is called Tony. Tony2000

He's feeling a bit left out, the 1200's are getting all the attention.

He's an original with a 5.25 drive and approx 1000 5.25 disks, mainly PD and demo. He used to belong to a demo group you know, but that is a lot of years ago now. He also has a hard drive and 2 no 3.5 floppy drives. His master has a hard time keeping him fully operational.

Hopefully pictures of Tony and the Twins to follow.

Firstly it was 'The Special Brothers', the UK Arm of the group, later on these guys were known as 'Phoenix' They did some pretty cool stuff but I am biased. There was a version of XCopy called Tropicopy, with palm tree graphics, damn cool!

I was never actually a member of the group but I knew all the members very well. I wasn't a leecher, wel maybe a little, but these were the best times of my life. When Tony ( I mean the 2000 ) came up for sale, I snagged it.

Yeh they borrowed 'some stuff'

Phoenix were not all about hard work, they were about having a laugh and a good time. All grouped together on a saturday night with a massive pizza/burger order. Like I said these were probably the best times of my life.

Long Live Amiga

BTW I have some Phoenix/TSB stuff on 5.25. I am trying to copy to 3.5 but Tony is being his usual awkward self.

Will post on progress.

As far as memory serves me you had Alan(ABH) and Grahem(GBH) the two brothers (see what the did with the names i think even the BH was for the location they lived in).

Like i said i think it was GBH i remember chatting to, I also asked him about the authenticity of the util boot. Basically he had edited marc/slipstreams util boot as he had been told that he had long left the scene so wouldnt really matter that much, it was only later he discovered that marc had since become n.o.m.a.d think that was a woops moment. Not that i think anything ever came of it.

LOL, I don't know any of that. Yup G is Graham. I don't know if BH relates to where they lived, you may find its about the laws at the time.

Not being a part of the group I never got involved with the politics of who did what, when or who used said code for whatever.

What I do remember, is good times, copy parties at a local working mens club and some of the best friends I ever made.

Oh yes i know what GBH and ABH are , i just seem to remember them having it stand for something else.

Like i said GBH seemed like a good bloke and could quite imagine having a cracking night in the pub with him.
