I couldn't write any of the Turricans to disk. Should I be using an HD ADF?

There is much easier and faster way to convert IPFs to extended ADFs.. (or are you actually trying to convert IPF to real disks using wwarp?)

for a real amiga you need a high density drive like the chinon FZ357A
on winuae you can make the simulation ...select High Density drive and insert custom High density disk...and format the disk before using wwarp to write to disk

Do you mean by using uaeunp? I'm pretty sure I couldn't get extended ADFs created by that to work.

Besides, uaeunp doesn't seem to want to have anything to do with IPFs for me atm, even though I've got the latest CAPSImg.dll in the same directory. Come to think of it, it also won't extract FDIs anymore. I'm using the version dated 24th September (which is what's currently available on the site).

Not work as in "it won't write to disk" or not work as in "it won't boot up afterwards"? I'll admit I haven't tested every disk I've written so far.

I should probaby add that I can only convert what IPFs exist out there , and not all of those games have been dumped or had their IPFs released out into the wild.

if you haven't tested the games..... delete from the list
I don't know why you have include them
you are causing confusion

btw,

if a moderator can delete this thread.....and make a new thread with a bit of order...means a serious thread----because ppl posted lot of games which do not works with wwarp or works in illusion of the user
that is causing confusion to the ppl which read this thread

thanks in advance

Look, I did say this was a list of titles that could be written back to disk, *not* a list of games-that-could-be-written-to-disk-and-run-without-problems. I originally pondered doing a list of games that used the Rob Northen disk format but then realised a) it would be a pretty short list, and b) many of them can't be copied anyway due to the additional use of a copylock.

And you didn't answer my question. Are you having trouble writing the game to disk or running it?

wwarp says that can't decode track 1 or requires sybil or something like that.......wwarp don't write the disk
btw,
I want this: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=45307

I know that few ppl have that...I wonder if anyone is interested in sell one

Why do people still bother with floppies?
Hey kids, I have a bunch of floppies I want to get rid of, who wants to buy the lot?

Okay, just examined some of the games on dlfrsilver's list, and the following....

....cannot be written to disk with wwarp. Their tracks are identified only as "single raw", which is pretty much guaranteed to mean "no dice". I get the same "sync" error as what I pointed out in the AB2 thread I linked to in the initial post.

Similarly, Agony cannot be written to disk with wwarp, though I was able to do it using Lockpick instead.

Bear in mind there maybe multiple versions of some of these titles! One version may work and another may not.

Sometimes you have to use the Force switch to convert the track to a known format, then it will write back successfully.

I think many of the Hi-Tec games should write back successfully, so Blazing Thunder, Jetsons etc should work. I can't imagine I would have added those formats to WWarp if they couldn't be written back!

Well as with most games in SPS there's usually only one version available. I know I would've tried every version of a game possible if I could get my hands on them. Still interested in knowing how one can successfully write LOTT to disk.

One thing though: I'm pretty amused that there's at least one disk format named after a single game ("primemover"). Was that the first custom disk format to be 'worked out'?
