me too...... add me! :laugh

been using it since 99! i like the fact that its just an executable.... i cant stand acdsee.... sorry...

photoshop? its ezee peezee.... been using that since version 3

correct me if im wrong, but i couldve sworn that photoshop was released on both the PC and MAC at the same time. but as most designers where already on macintoshs, the mac version was a lot more abundant....

fred, can you explain how one identical application differs in quality across those 2 platforms? or any application for that matter...

i was sticking up for Amigas when all the music elitists insisted on Atari ST, and ill stick up for PCs in any contest against Macintosh...

Cubase for instance....

Depends. It's like some apps are meant to be run in certain platforms. Much in the way like games when they got ported from their original platforms, used to suffer badly.

Much like Deluxe Paint IIe on the PC. Nothing it is compared to Amiga versions of DP (even the old ones)

I have seen a Mac running ProTools with the Protools board (dunno which one, I forgot!), and it was a corker. Much better than a PC of "similar" characteristics.

Spooner: I am not even going to bother. I own a PC and Mac. PC for games, Mac for everything else.
Every cross platform App I own/have is better on the Mac, and I show this to my PC freinds and they are dumbfounded or "Ooing and Ahhing". You want to stick up for the PC? Go ahead. I'm sure someone will throw you a biscuit.

I do now.

After killing off preinstalled programs (namely MS Paint and Kodak Imaging), I was in dire need of a replacement image viewer. I soon grew tired of waiting for the monster that is Photoshop to load up, only to briefly view a small bitmap image. InfraView proved itself to be the prefect light weight image viewer, with support for dozens of file formats.

Now all I need is an alternative to WordPad (*.doc) - Yes, I'm probably nuts for uninstalling it.

Any software that doesn't scatter crap throughout the registry and system directory is fine by me.

Does OpenOffice qualify? I see it is a 50mb download.

All that I require is a simple doc viewer, although if it offers extra functionality of Office applications while remaining unobtrusive, that's cool too.

Tried to make her use Kindwords 3 on the A600 but she almost hit me

Ack, Star Office sucks. I have it on Linux and it's an awful piece of program. I'd say it will scatter all across a Windows setup.
