Zyclunt

It's a game not many have heard of, but it's really one the best!
It's a platform/beat them up style of game, where you control a cyborg, with exellent controls and playability, big end level bosses. The type of games that you can't put down until you finish it. (True definition of rare gem).

I remember playing a demo version with two levels back in 97 under Dos.
Now i found the complete version, but it seems to be Win95 only, when played on vista, i get a slowdown every 1 second.

Did anyone already played it? or know how to make it behave correctly under Vista?

I also remember this game and it was for MS-DOS. But I'm not sure if it was demo or full version.

Try opening the file properties -> Compatibility tab -> select Windows 95 compatibility mode, 256 colors and 640x480 resolution, and check all the options to disable desktop fluff.

EDIT: it's possible to run a real Windows 95 install using VMWare virtualization, but it takes some time setting up of course.

Tried that too, i still get a frame lock every second...must be the processor maybe, as the game was in the pentium 1 or 2 sub 200mhz era.

Incredible insight (it's now 5 years or more that i couldn't play because of this locks)
Very true, the game beign a CD game, it can run without the CD, but maybe still search for the audio tracks.
I'll try soon, and see if i put an audio CD in the drive will sort this problem. (hopefully, it will search for the CD in the default CD drive).
Thx s2325
(off topic: where s2325 comes from? the serial port s232?)

I think it's even better than any game like it on the snes, because Zyclunt has great playability, the controls are excellent, and the sprite anims are plenty. It term of capability it's a NeoGeo game.

It's the kind of games where you want to see what the next level looks like.

Just downloaded the full cd dos version of this great game. Works under dosbox, and has anime fmv which are better than the win95 version that i didn't get to run correctly anyway.

This is the best 2d action game under dos, even, possibly the best 2d action game ever.

From underground gamer.
