Please! Not this again. Now I will say that in the U.S., this is what we call football. Then a bunch of Brits will follow up like clockwork about how soccer fits the term football better than American football does, then we regurgitate this endless cycle all over again when the search feature on the board will probably find one of the myriad previous arguements about soccer vs. football vs. US football. Couldn't we at least whine about what biscuits are?

Logical and sensible and eloquent. I don't think American Football needs be defended to ANYONE. You don't like it, big deal. Its the way it is. I just don't want to hear "Ohh, rugby is THE REAL tough sport of the 2, etc". Hell yeah, Rugby is tough as hell. Right up there with or tougher than Ice Hockey, American Basketballl and Lacrosse. But lets see someone who criticizes Football as not so tough try and not get their ass smashed into their eye sockets while trying to play with a buncha high school footballers.

Yes. I think they were supposed to have developed an Arkanoid-like controller for this game, but never did. Kind of like they never made a sequel to Hustle Chumy

(Sorry, everyone, I think these game names are the funniest shit in the world! How many people involved in the planning, design, programming, and marketing of 'Hustle Chumy' looked at the name and thought, "Yeah... yeah, that works!" Thirty? Fifty?)

Hey! Hustle Chummy it's an MSX game.. and it's even from Compile!

I think that's the 1st time someone mentions an MSX game besides me (hehehe )

Don't you EVER dare to say something bad about Compile again, or I will ask Bub the zombie to go after you. I am sure they had a good reason to give this.. this.. nice name to the game

Girly Block

Maybe it's not a dumb name (maybe is ), but I always thought it was a strange name.. what's exactly is a "Girly Block" ? Lots of girls together?

That's also another MSX game, and it's also developed by Compile .

'Populace' is a noun meaning the general population.
'Populous' is an adjective meaning thickly populated.

I prefer Populous!

Of course I know what a fag is here and there both. But I would never call one correct and the other incorrect. I respect English and US accents, English and US spellings, English and US slang, English and US culture. But it would be pointless to harp on the obsessive footy fanatics, color vs colour, NTSC vs PAL, etc., otherwise it would be mere elitist, separatist rubbish. If anything, I mix my slang, my spellings, etc. for no other reason than my lack of respect for divisiveness. New world order, baby!!!

Big grin

The winner for the all-platform catergory definitely has to be:

Jizz Wars (PD)

Found in the Good Sega Megadrive set. I've not played the game or ever seen it.

Maybe some non-Brits won't get what the word Jizz means (in Brit-slang). Well, how to explain.....hmmmm..........you know that bodily fluid you always try and get your girlfriend to swallow ? Yep, that's it !

Hey, maybe the games about this subject

How about "Ripping Friends" for a stupid video game name. Or Revenge of the Mutant Camels.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...565916-3715662

or what about "Attack of the 40 foot jelly eating jizzum monkeys from beyond the sixth dimension!!"

Actually I made that up. :P

Americans don't call biscuits biscuits? Well, I'll be a hogtied hornswaggler.

Anyway. A game title from my Speccy days, with a name not dissimilar to that fictional effort from Steve: Attack of the Mutant Zombie Flesh-Eating Chickens From Mars (Starring Zappo the Dog).

By Matthew Smith, of Manic Miner/Jet Set Willy fame.

Americans have cookies *AND* biscuits. They are night and day different. From dictionary.com:

bisĀ·cuit
n. pl. bisĀ·cuits

1. A small cake of shortened bread leavened with baking powder or soda.

2. Chiefly British.
a. A thin, crisp cracker.
b. cookie.
