Hello

Hello,

Just wanted to say hello. Back on the Amiga scene after selling my Amiga 500 and 1200 in the mid 90's to make way for a PC (regret that)

Anyway earlier this year I made up for my mistake and purchased an Amiga 500 and Amiga 1200 and since then I have been upgrading

Bought a GVP HD+8 for the Amiga 500 and upgraded that to 8MB of RAM. Also hooked on a SCSI CD-ROM drive. The Amiga 1200 has a Blizzard 1260 with SCSI module, 128MB of RAM, SCSI CD Writer, 16GB CF Flash Card running through an IDE adaptor and Amiga OS 3.9. Connected up to a 19" Toshiba TV via SCART but I'm in 2 minds whether to buy an Indivision and run through a PC Monitor especially as the Indivision VGA port cannot connect to the spare port on the Amiga case due to the SCSI port being there !

Hope to grab lots of useful information from this site. It's good to see there are lots of people out there keeping the Amiga alive

Don't do it! You won't get a much better display than via RGB to SCART TV; certainly not enough to justify the cost of the Indivision.

Thats pretty good advice there from Prowler

Although the Indi Does support High GFX (1024x768) and can look pretty nice but to be honest thats not much of a jump above your 640x512 Interlaced modes.

If you really want to be amazed put it all in a Tower and go for a Mediator/PCI setup. I run a Voodoo 5 5500 and workbench in 24bit screens like 1280x1024 is truely awesome

By the way, welcome to EAB

Steve.
