Thank you.

- a faster IDE interface
- a IDE-CF adapter that is guaranteed to work with the HD LED
- a nice dust cover
- a good(looking) wireless mouse with Amiga logo

As much as I would love an new 060 accelerator for the A1200 - the practical costs of it makes it VERY unlikely - not only in development costs, but also in sourcing compatible components for manufacture.

I think simple things would sell well and be of much benefit to the community - Now, lets talk *cheap* so lets talk Plastics =D

An idea that might be good could be - Custom A1200 Plastic casings and keyboards.

There are many companies that can manufacture plastics based on a prime-design, so imagine if you will multi coloured / opaque A1200 chassis with a housing designed for an SFF or Buffered IDE place for it to be screwed down, even and extention to the original chassis so that it could have a SFF CDROM drive underneath the FDD drive.

Theres quite a lot of possibilites with this as I am sure black/CBM White and Opaqe would be really BIG sellers.

Black Keyboard replacements would be a huge want with the customizers, theres a few companies I was in contact with when developing some custom chassis and they are quite low cost with low MOQ's too.

Hmmm.. an A1200 mediator compatible Walker case would be very cool (although slightly longer than the original )

An acceleratorboard please since there's a serious lack of those nowadays! A 68060 perhaps or something similar with a decent amount of RAM.

I'd be happy with a
4/8MB switchable simple upgrade for A1200
4MB/8MB upgrade for A600

Now thats an awesome reply to pauls post, I bow to you both for the enteraining posts, .

What I would love, is an 060, with lots of fast ram, SATA, Flash for kickstart and option for an attachment to add agp or pci-e gfx card.

But thats just me, im dreaming again.

FOL, what we need is an XCORE interface that will give a Siamese type access to an A1200 motherboard on the upcoming AmigaOne X-1000.

Judging by the response here, it's pretty obvious that there is a shortage of A1200 8M RAM cards available at reasonable prices.

Just hang about on Amibay and the most common new post is a RAM card for a 1200; or even watch them fly by at prices rivaling CPU/RAM cards on e-bait to see that..

Now, maybe in your neck of the woods, people are rolling in 8M RAM cards..
Using them for kindling and spacers to stop the table from rocking, but that's not the case worldwide...

Yes, for all those people who already have 40's or faster (or a boatload of 60's in their drawer), it's silly.

But there are a LOT of people who just want a good Amiga 1200 that can run WHDLoad, and an 8M RAM card fits that bill. (Even if it's only 5.5M with PCMCIA enabled.) A lot of WHDLoad games run with just 2M fast RAM.
I would think a REALLY cheap 4M Fast RAM card would be nice, as it would allow most WHDLoad games to run, but I'm guessing (????) that there wouldn't be much cost savings leaving off 4M?

I could be wrong, but it certainly feels like a Fast RAM card would appeal to the largest crowd, if it's at the right price point.
Now, a CPU/RAM card would be great too, but you start pushing the price point, you start shrinking the customer base..

How about an 8mb ram card where you can hold down a key on power up and it disables half the ram for pcmcia goodness? no fiddling with jumpers. Like the blizzard boards where holding '2' disables the whole board.
Awesome, and will fly off the shelf!
