Can't save prefs

Since reinstalling WB3.1, I have been unable to save any prefs, such as increasing WB colours in Palette, or anything else SYS related.

I can copy stuff onto my partitions, so it's not a hardware problem.

I have several progs installed which affect the start-up files such as MUI 3.8, MagicMenu, NewIcons (which doesn't work now), IDEfix, MultiCX2 and ClassAct.

I also can't change attributes - such as with MagicMenu - I try to change CX popup=YES to NO, and it doesn't save.

It's driving me barmy - but I haven't got so far that I wouldn't simply reinstall WB if I don't find a solution.

TiA any help

JD

Thanks - after a reboot, it's working.

Strange that.
