Congratz AmigaKit once more!

I should advice though to change the zorram sub-domain that is on Zorram and advertises your website. At least for me it shows the following website http://zorram.amigakit.com :

@AmigaKit

I realy like this product, it answers pleads for A3000 and A4000 owners that dont have a CPU card with a memory controller as well as provides more ram to such owners.

I will be hunting for one of these after the 25th Amiga Aniversary convention in Bletchy Park which I must ask of the following -

Are you or will there be an AmigaKit presence? I know the X1000 is gonna be on demo - it would be great to put some faces to names =)

In the annoncment of the ZorRam product, you disucssed the possibility of a 256MB version with an updated controller, is that still a possibility? any ideas on price / availability?

... its quite chucklesome,.... I remember buying my first 128MB stick of SDRAM for my PC back in 2002... that cost me 120!!!

RAMZES (RAM for Zorro Expansion Slot) name sounds better for me.
Can be:
RAMZES I - 128MB
RAMZES II - 256 MB
etc

Some initial tests of the initial ZorRAM we have received from production run.

Just for fun, I am testing 4x ZorRAMs in an A4000 Rev B (desktop) with a Commodore standard Zorro duaghter card and Commodore A3640 Rev 3.1 and Buster 11. Apologies for the bad picture :-) Testing goes on...

Hahahaha 1GB in a classic Amiga is pretty mental indeed! Way to go AmigaKit!
Does that means 256MB version is ready?

We are awaiting the extra chips/SMT caps for customer 256MB version. Components should be here early this coming week.

The final last minute tweaks to the 128MB firmware is being done currently..

Thanks!

I don't expect any Classic Amiga user to utilise a full 1GB of FastRAM- the example test was just a bit of fun :-)

However, I often use up to 256MB Fast memory on my own A1200 especially when I am using Pagestream, TVPaint, PDF, Ghostscript, and FXScan applications.

A4000 accelerators with memory on-board are very scarce (and expensive on Ebay unfortunately). Hopefully, ZorRAM will give standard A4000 users a well-priced and readily-available way of adding memory with modern SDRAM technology and warranty/support.

It designed to be the most cost effective way of adding memory to the A4000 so it need not be constrained to standard 16MB on board memory.

If it has the added benefit that larger, more memory expansive programs are developed for the Classic Amiga, then we will be very happy.
