Another favourite game thread, yay!

Anyway, I take it you mean Core as the publisher. Then it's Heimdall.

Difficult... For me it would be a toss between Wolfchild (technical brilliance) and Chuck Rock (incredibly fun to play)

Btw : Just recently replayed Wolfchild and have to say that the game lacks quite a bit in the 'fun to play' department.

Jaguar XJ220 and Wolfchild (Not really technically brilliant since it runs/scrolls in 25 FPS, but it has a good gameplay/atmosphere).

Let me rephrase: it impressed the hell out of me when I first saw it. One of those games that had that polished arcade awesomeness to it. But still it is a little repetitive.

I'll really have to give Heimdall a good playthrough sometime...

Jaguar was great but too repeatitive, it was ever the second best racing game way distanced by Lotus, Lotus being my favorite;
Heimdall had great animations and graphics and mood, even a interesting gameplay, and killer subgames and combat, but it was most of the time obscure as what were you doing.
So to me is Darkmere!

Ouch, now there's a tough game. I never did get the hang of it really, I fail horribly at fighting without getting hurt.

In Jaguar you can see cars in front of you seemingly drive into the top of overpasses. I much prefer Lotus 2.

really? it was kind of easier than the most of shoot em up games i have ever played, at least the first level: i never did go past that because of a faulty copy that crashed the game when loading the second level.
now that i tryed it, that too isn't that difficult, just easy to get lost in its mazes!
the trick to get past the fights, at least the various melčes, is to place yourself in the right spot, and then hack away. actually it's kind of luck based more than ability: once you see you got in the wrong place, simply get back and take some distance or exit and reenter the screen...
that about the combat and the very crappy implementation of the inventory and the menu and the slowing downs they caused are the lame part of the game, the rest is very cool!
