I'm very much against advertisements I must admit, especially when it's a freewebs host.

Good Lord, that poor bloke has some serious issues that need sorting!
Why did he even join a forum that is dedicated to the Amiga in the first place if he wasn't interested in what they are all about?

Dreedo's website is in its infancy, it will keep on improving as he updates and adds things that he learns, when people come along with sarcastic and childish comments against such work, it could in many cases put anyone off and I hope that this is not the case for a long time to come.

It is a shame that this individual couldn't handle the pressure when it was turned back at him but really he shouldn't dish out what he can't handle. As for his comments to me, hell I have been called a lot worse than that by bigger Ass***** than him maybe some artistic licence should be used to tidy this thread of the negativity that has taken place.

lol thanks guys, and Graham for banning Birdy.

Despite the annoyance im sure this has caused everyone, i did have over 20 visitors on Saturday and over 30 yesterday, so it wasn't all bad news.

Yeah sorry about the advertising, but i don't see it doing much harm at the moment, i'm saving for a PSP and they gave me 15 to put them on my site and 5 a month thereafter.

P.S. Interesting thread tags.

27th of April, updated site.

Due to running out of web space, i probably won't be able to host the ROM files myself, i'll keep as many as i can on their, i should be able to fit about 30 more ROMs on the site.

Updated a few things on the site, check main page for any info.

Im still having trouble uploading roms ect. As it takes a long time, and it sucks up a lot of my internet power, so i'm restricted as to when i do it, as my brother only works 4 hours a day and when he goes out to work (6PM) my dad gets back, so someone else is always using the net, the only time i get to upload files is between 10AM and 12PM when everyone is either out at work or asleep.

And thanks Yesideez.

Updated site again, removed the term 'ROMS' from the site. Also updated a few other pages and removed a couple of pages as well.

The website template will probably be changing soon, so keep an eye on it, and let me know if anything else needs changing, either by sending a form request on the website or by posting in this thread.

Thanks.

UPDATE: Wondering which of these templates you guys like the most?

Just reply saying 1, 2 or 3 depending on which template you like best.

Sorry for large sizes of images, it may stretch your screen if your running on a low resolution.

Great work Dreedo

There's nothing more satisfying than the creation of something you believe should be shared with everyone and for that reason alone, your work and website is very much appreciated within the Amiga community

Anyone who says otherwise, is the idiot who can't comprehend what you do.

Sorry, but reading those posts from birdy..... Well, you know

Nice website.

I always wondered why Amiga 500 had either a bright red powerled or a green one. now i know its because of OCS or ECS

Ok Workbench shortcuts:

- Hold down right Command key and use the keyboard arrows to move your cursor.

- Hold down right command key and hit the left ALT key to left click.

- Hold down right command key and hit the right ALT key to right click.
The left command key works the same too, and you can also hold shift to move the pointer in larger increments. And yes, these keys can be used on earlier kickstart revisions, I know it was present in WB1.3 and WB1.2.

If you can find it anywhere, I would recommend that you get your hands on the full WB 2.0 manual, entitled System software.

Hi Dreedo, like your site, nice and straight forward. Loving the quality miggy pics.
Now...just a few comments on the specs of the machines....

All Amigas other than the first batch of OCS A1000's can display 32, and 64 colours (64 colours- EHB, extra halfbrite)

All Amigas can display 4096 colours in HAM (Hold & Modify) mode. (Generally static, but not always)

OCS and ECS machines have a 4096 colour palette to choose from (12 bit)

AGA machines can display 256 colours in paletted modes, 262144+ in HAM8
AGA palette is 16777216 colours (24 bit).

All machines adhere to 480i (NTSC) and 576i (PAL/SECAM). And are capable of overscan, though your millage will vary, depending on the display device.

ECS and AGA machines have 'super-hi res' mode. This doubles the horizontal resolution: eg: 640x512 becomes 1280x512.

All amigas have the 'paula' soundchip. This is a 4 channel PCM (sample play back) device. The chip has DMA

As you can see, I like to see the amiga hardware displayed to our best advantage ;P,

And keep up the good work, and don't let moaners get you down. Actually doing something about the amiga, rather than just talking about it, is a very cool thing!

Awesome page. It would be even nicer if you add some screenshots next to the games reviews, that would increase the nostalgia factor even more. Looking forward to more game reviews and other Amiga stuff.

Updated website with a 1mb RAM, Hard drive compatability list. Many won't care for it, but i thought it'd be nice to have all the games that work from the Hard Drive on a Miggy with only 1MB of Chip mem in one place.

Bit of surprising news, total visitors to the site reached 10 today! A shocking number i know. :P

This is the highest number for the past 2 months or so however, on January 6th we had 6 visitors. Then declined to 3 at January 8th, then up to 10 on January 9th.

UPDATE: Daily users has gone up from 10 to 17. The stat services operate 1 hour ahead of the UK, so it won't change until 1AM.
