I feel sick - this is an abomination.

Disgraceful!!!

Rumours are that it was a sickening meeting like this which produced a horrific progeny - the Atari STE.

Many said it luckily inherited most of it's features from the Amiga side rather than the ST.

I'm disgusted too. They should have been playing 2 player Stunt Car Racer

I didn't knew that Amiga and ST games were compatible through serial link.

I noticed the ST had much less bytes to load (less complexity?) as the A500 takes ages to load the game.

Hope there isn't any ST fans here listening to you lot- they take this stuff very seriously to the point of getting very upset

I loved my ST and had many awesome times playing Oids, Super Sprint and some others but despite how cool it was to me then, i jumped at the chance when my dad offered to buy me an A500.As an ST user i was very jealous and it was probably the best day of my life when i finally upgraded

I can play Oids any time i want thanks to emulation and that is definitely one game i would be sad not to play again- will we ever get a port of this and Super Sprint one day?

They are getting upset? THEY??? Man, you got some nerves!
(just kidding of course)

Seriously, this thread needs a 'NSFHAF' (not safe for hardcore Amiga fans) badge

And i was joking myself of course

I remember back at school around the age of 15 i was in a land of delusion like how some existing ST users are today regarding their baby.I would defend it as the better machine.I recall a Starglider2 argument i had saying the ST version to be superior thanks to it's speed difference(not even noticable of course)- that up against the far superior sound of the Amiga.3d was a more even fight but everything else was comparitively bad to what Amiga managed

It doesn't matter of course but some ST users have a hard time accepting the ST was a bit poo

It would be interesting to see a poll made asking how many people traded in their Amiga for ST's

Great memories of the machine that i'm glad to have but even better Amiga ones

ST was just a quick fix Tramiel made up after losing the Amiga to Commodore. He had a 68000 based machine made quickly with off the shelf parts (no custom chips) with a shitty OS and release it as soon as possible to gain ground on the 16 bit market against the Amiga. I think ST can be considered a decent attempt given the limited time frame it was developed in. It's little bit unfair to compare it to the Amiga, which was developed in a long time period by a professional and devoted team.

here I'm geezing again, I felt like I'm 50 for a moment lol who cares, they're both damned to oblivion now ...

LOL! Missed that. Damn, beaten again! I think it's because you didn't put the lines "make love" in your thread.

In terms of "Loading times" the Amiga is the one getting humped and it had a head start

So if the Miggy And ST can Play Lotus 2 together, I wonder if the Arc Version could be played vs ST or Miggy as well. Can't see why not as it is a port of the Amiga version......

Back in the day I had an A3010....

As long as the games developer used the same network play code then it should work with the Atari ST and Amiga.

I have an STe and an A500 here.... I think its time to have a play methinks =D

We used to play Amiga crossed to an ST quite a few times back in the day. I think Populous was one of our favourites.

Think about it though, true cross-platform gaming! This is going back over 20 years too.
