I have also another version (ENG-FR-DE-IT). You can see the cover in the misc shot #3 here. I think it's a different version you have, Josh?

It's the same than the french version, but compared to your version it's complete and has all languages.

You can get it here:

2 coding manuals that would be great for this superb collection would be :

Mastering Amiga AMOS by Phil South
Amiga Game Maker's Manual by Stephen Hill

Not sure if anyone has these, but I just read about them on another amiga site.

Hi, I have the Amiga Game Maker's Manual by Stephen Hill, but the perfect binding will make scanning it difficult.

Has anyone tried to contact the original publishers of all these great Amiga books (especially ones we don't have yet)? It would be nice if they still have copies of their Amiga books and would be willing to release them as PDF.

Given it's unlikely that books of that vintage were digitally typeset, odds of them being readily convertible to PDF are quite slim. The publishers themselves would likely have to resort to a razor blade and scanner.

Too bad.

Wouldn't there be some master copy that the publisher / printing press used for mass producing the books. Figure the master would be some kind of computer document or something.

They were already using digital typesetting during the late '60s

Hmmm... Seems I forgot to say something...:

Because of maintenance work on server this website was offline for over one week. More precisely 11 days.

But:

Finally! Here we go again!

Hope nobody has gotten any panic.
Same. Have fun again...

Cheers Josh

PS: Many many thanks eLowar for all his support!

Now it's ready at last...

More than 1900 game manuals - and more than 2500 total.

And once again: thanks so much to all people who support this project!

due to the datestamps being reset, i can't update my mirror automatically easily now (redownloading everything isn't ideal). Any possibility of rsync access and i can do a checksum based sync, and then date later?

Speaking as the bandwidth donor, I don't really mind you just redownloading everything. Rsync could be arranged, but only if Josh is okay with it, keeping in mind that it would likely allow access to more files than the public site (e.g. page source files, etc.). I don't really want to spend a lot of time setting up elaborate rsync filters.
