No one seems to know but I've sent her a message to try and find out why she has left.... I'm a bit stunned to say the least

Well, I can't really say she'll reply to me but here's hoping... I'm just glad I had other methods to contact her.

I'm going to try and find out why she has left.... I'm a bit stunned to say the least

Edit: Retro-Nerd, your link is invalid I'm afraid. Can you give us some insite to what it was...

What happened? The last time I heard from her was in a PM a couple of weeks ago and she seemed fine. Did she say anything to anyone or you suddenly noticed that she was gone?

Yeah, it does kind of annoy me when members decide to do that (delete all their past posts then leave). Kind of punishes everyone by messing up the board.

I like Cammy; shame she did that. I'm sure she'll still be around over at Amiga.org, but it looks like no xmas tree this year for EAB.

There was a discussion a while back about locking older posts so people couldn't do that anymore as it has happened in the past. It was decided that it caused other issues I think so wasn't done.

another option is to time-limit the editing/deleting of posts. Kind of makes people take responsibility for what they post. (if they are deleting something which has lead to a ban, or warning or similar)... but doing it to normal posts seems strange.

no ideas what triggered this then? it is a shame to see anyone leave in such a manner.

alkis - just noticed her opening post in a thread in the ClassicWB forum had been deleted after someone replied, so looked at her profile. Boo Boo might of noticed the same.

Hungry H, some good suggestions.

I think that this is a real shame... her contributions were always so useful and constructive - her A600 thread alone was excellent...

On another matter - this Forum cant just let people delete their threads/comments - think of all the valuable information that we could lose.

I believe that Cammy is actually quite essential to the present Amiga scene (she is really into her Amiga) - I really hope that she comes back to EAB.

Perhaps it was just one of those spur of the moment things or of course it could just be some jerk that found her too irresistably saucy and pm'd her something daft?

Shame though as she was rather saucy.I'm sure her enthusiasm and knowledge for the Amiga will be missed here

Maybe a bring back Cammy poll thread should be set up

I hope she comes back again, I enjoyed reading her posts and her 600 thread, there are not that many lovely women like her in the Amiga world, she is one in a million and it is strange to see her go without knowing what went wrong

I talked to her on IRC a few days ago. She was pretty upset that nobody entered into her most recent game making competition. I helped her set up a project page on Sourceforge for a yet-to-be-made game design engine. I hoped that would cheer her up a little bit since it has a forum of its own. Maybe it didn't.

Of course it was. By deleting all her posts she "destroyed" a lot of EAB threads.

That doesn't sound like a reason for her to leave and take her posts with her, considering that last time several people made a game and did not announce it before it was ready. To be honest, Adropac2's assumption crossed my mind as well.

Whatever the reason, hope she doesn't consider walking away from the Amiga scene.

Every person is a loss these days.

Retro-N is not necessarilly wrong. Sometimes childish behaviour is the unintended side-effect of getting into panic for beeing afraid not to meet everyone's expectations and then let stress getting control of your acts. Then again, that's just a wild guess of mine and I'm the less entitled person here to comment about Cammy's reasons. As far as I'm concerned her privacy is to be absolutely respected. If she wants us to know her motives, she will eventually tell us about them. Other than that all we can do now is wish her the best and offer our moral support if that could be of any help at all.

I`m saving that avatar of her hugging her A600, great pic

even though I wish her the best and hope what ever has happened turns out well, I can`t help feeling stubbed at for leaving the way she did, like what did I ever do to her to deserve this ??

It's the fault of all of you for not doing enough cosplay. Now get into those outfits right now.

in all seriousness, if someone storms off from a forum and takes the effort to go and remove all their posts, i guess they have shown their colours, and will not be back. I'm sure such people will be on amiga$10000.org and amigaworld.net where all the true amiga users hang out, with their cygnus editor, and ibrowse, and big icons, and screens, and proper multitasking and things.

Wait..

So you're saying, it was your fault..
Hmmmm...

It's not that big a deal. IMHO
People have the right to get upset from time to time. Perhaps she'll be back..

(as long as she doesn't read some of the messages on this thread)

Not sure what to think...... if its true what Steve says, then it is a shame that she has decided to just "leave" EAB.

Yeah it does look strange, i meant to say Cammy's posts are missing from the thread

Anyway she posted photo's of the fixes she had made to her Philips RGB monitors... simple but effective way of adding a sort of "latch" to keep the power button pressed in (power buttons were an issue with these monitors!).

I do hope it's not over that Gaming competition. Some people may just simply not have the time due to other things in their life.

Dunno why she is getting worked up about it, if there is no interest then there is no interest. Move on and create something better?

LOL! EMUC is the best!!! Shooting from the hip - she should have joined Ultimate Amiga.

And yes, we still have Kitty representing the girls.
