You'll be fine with games. There are quite a few games that use NTSC format but the only effect of this is a big black strip at the bottom of the screen. Everything will work out of the box, as it were.

Out of 1-10 it is a 2.

15 minutes to unscrew everything and get the motherboard out so you can get to the underside. (You need a special tool to unscrew the bolts on the rear connectors)

2 mins with a decent soldering iron and a solder pump or some braid to loosen the 3 solder points of the battery holder so you can remove it.

20 minutes to screw everything back together.
