Another noob question. Setting icons

Not sure if this is even possible and I'm sure its a silly problem but whenever I boot into Workbench all my icons in their folders are in a jumbled mess, clicking Cleanup tidies everything up but I have to do this everytime I start the machine up. Just wondering if there's a way to force them to stay in place after Cleanup has been used?

After cleanup you need to use snapshot to fix them in place

To order the icons alphabetically in OS 3.1 and below use this procedure:

- select all icons
- unsnapshot icons
- close the window and open it again
- cleanup
- select all icons
- snapshot icons

OS 3.5 and above have cleanup by name.

Ah, Snapshot. Another reason I prefer AmigaOS over all the others. I choose where everything is laid out, and it always opens where I want it, not where I last left it.

Bingo this did the trick Now everything doesn't look like such a jumbled mess. Thanks!
