Hello

Well i must admit I have been lurking somewhat for a couple of months now, but have bit the bullet and decided to speak up and say hello. I must say, it is a little intimidating, having read through the forums, the level of expertise and experience some of you guys and girls have is amazing, I shall always remain an enthusiatic amateur. But in particualr the retr0brite forum was amazing. I read it page by page the other week and was entranced, it was great to see how it all developed and came together, a real first for an internet forum for me! My girlfriend didnt quite get it as i tried to explain it to her though. Anyway, I have a couple of 1200s and a 600 I have aquired recently, seem to be failing miserably in my attempts to retr0brite them, (24hours and no change!) (where the hell can you buy xanthan gum on the high street!). Any yorkshire peeps like a bit of swos, would love to see if I'm as good as I think I am. Keep up the good work.

Hi there clueless,

I am a newby here too, just like yourself I looked for a while before replying to some posts. I think about 99% of any questions that I would have asked were already answered in many a post that I read, its a great site and there are a lot of people who know there stuff and show us the right way to do things. Mind you I still don't know how to start a topic on this site

I hope you have a great time here and that someone will answer your question about xanthan gum, maybe a chemist will be able to supply some?

Click the English Amiga Board logo at the top of the page, choose the forum, or subforum, if appropriate, in which you wish to start your new topic, follow the link and then click the New Thread button at the head of the page that opens.
The panel that opens will allow you to submit your new thread's opening post.

If you have a dishwasher, put the cases in on a cool cycle to get them properly clean. If not, a good soak in a dishwasher solution in the sink will help remove an residues that may be stopping things from working.

I assume that you are using a UV light, as sunlight isn't in abundance right now....

A good Retr0bright result is 90% preparation, 10% patience. Read the Wiki carefully (link in my signature) and if you need help, I will guide you. I'm also not too far away in Mancland, although our roses are red this side of the border....

(It also helps if you eat Shredded L33t for breakfast, the one with added mitichlorins....)
