It's always good to go back to old consoles now and then

and DoogUK is a life saver

I been scanning ug for games I used to have ages ago, so far I got

Tekken 3
Skullmonkeys
Felony 11-79 (used to play this for hours!)
Pitfall 3D

Need to find Blasto now

It just looks like a regular PS-1 but it has more connectors on the back, most notably S-Video.

It's not a Nintendo/Sony SNES CD-drive or anything like that.

If the box with it in surfaces this weekend I'll post pics.

I got more retro "crap" from skip-diving on that 12-month job than in the 13 years since. Developer Sega Saturn, 3DFX prototype Dreamcast (a PC), prototype PS, Amiga A3000, Acorn Archimedes, A2000, Video Toaster 2000, Developer Atari Jaguar CD system (which I gave to James Boulton, then housemate & co author of Atari ST emulator SainT), erm... Starfox 2 ROM & source code... etc. etc. the list was long and distinguished...

I am told by the distinguished gentleman to my left that the Mk1 Jap model PS had extra connectors including S-Video so it could actually be a 'modded' one of those.

Is it a DE-BUG UNIT MODEL DTL-H1202?

There's two brand new ones being sold on ebay from the same seller,

Nope not my psx, I wouldnt need a chip if that was mine, I think the Yaroze plays backups by default!

Dunno what the chips are called from DoogUK, its 3 wire for certain models (I think yours will be a 3 wire or 4 wire), if you want the chip to use stealth its a 7 wire mod on the same chip.
Lot's of info on the net about psx chipping, I'm still looking for the 7 wire diagram for the chip doogh is sending me though, not sure if I have the correct one.

PSOne/102 Series

Doog started The Playstation 1 modding thread here on EAB after offering me one of his modchips for the SCPH-9002, but that thread seems to have been abandoned in favour of this one.

Sorry I didn't even notice that thread existed, this wasn't meant to be a psx chipping thread, it was more of a request thread as you can see by the title.
Maybe it can be merged?

It's okay. I didn't post a link to the other thread with merging in mind; rather as a source of further info for those following this thread.
