Well, Dast kinda made me play it again Got to 55% in the first level and your 'the game is quite unforgiving' pretty much sums it up. Throwing stones at the jumping monsters is... horrible Yet, the game itself has a great way of keeping you playing and with the few bits of the 'story' you get from the notes and books it really gets beyond the mere item collecting thing and mini puzzle solving

Ahhh, well that makes more sense. Might give it another go but if your weapon in an isometric game is a projectile... well the D/Generation laser is the first game I saw do that right.

Something tells me I'll miss Landstalker's sword real quick though

@AB Positive

TCD and Gimbal have pretty much said what I'll say. Cadaver is unforgiving, frustrating, awkward and fiddly, but despite all that I love it. It has a real atmosphere about it that keeps me coming back.

For more information on the story etc, go visit Kametyken's awesome Cadaver shrine

It's certainly not a game for everyone, but if it gets under your skin, it will bug you for years

Well... I am a recovering Nethack addict so the thought of a difficult game doesn't dissuade me.

Might have to load up Cadaver again now and give it a shot - I just restarted Landstalker for the 3409875394th time so I might as well go all out Isometric
