Workench 3.9 screen poor

Ive just upgraded my workbench for the firs time in years. Its great! I got it just about working with a recoverable alart. first time worked fine but now i cant get the screen to save on high res laced. just stays on the old low color grey palete making the icons look crap. Any ideas guys? it doesn say save in screen mode, just test.

What Amiga you are trying to run 3.9?

How much fast RAM you have on it?

Have protected the boot partition prior the upgrade or after it?

Did you erased the envarc:/prefs after the upgrade?

OK, one affirmation after all those questions: the modes can't be saved if you don't test them first. That's a OS3.9 normal behaviour.

BTW: you put the thread on the wrong forum place, expect to see it moved to another place.

They can. It just opens a requester "you didn't test the new mode yet, do you really want to save", but it does save without testing if you answer "yes".
