It can be also on 'PC:' of course. C:Copy >NIL: <insert the path to your icon file here> RAM:Disk.info CLONE QUIET

Use D(irectory)Opus for copying them to place
just drag'n drop the folder containing the icons into Dopus and on the other side put System:expansion/scalos/Icons

rename it to same as in scalos/icons and don't forget to change the 'Type' as i say some posts above

EDIT:i know the day will come where i post fast enough

Hehe I wonder if Scalos would use the icon with the correct name by default without the startup-sequence line. Can you check that tero?

Scalos has it own Path's , can be changed in scalos/prefs/scalos
no S-S or U-S entry

Are you copying it to the Ram disk manually?

This needs to be done during startup using the startup-sequence or equivalent for Scalos (maybe). The ram disk is cleared each time you start workbench.

Name it ram.info and copy it to system:expansion/scalos/icons
and reboot

nb: If you copy it with DirectoryOpus you can doubleclick the info, and in the top-right corner 'Disk' must be shown - sorry if you did this allready

@Deli

I would appreciate it if you didn't call members of this board 'tarts', please. That is a bit off to be honest.

And please just let Kitty get on with it, yes? Don't go shoving things that are completely irrelevant down her throat. If she's happy with the setup she has, that's what matters. Just don't keep dragging this off-topic.

Ok I changed the PC Icon the same way , theres a few hundred more that need changing which I will do in time.
Most of the desktop icons I wanted changing have been changed now, its getting to look the way I wanted it now

I'm assuming the rest of these icons (ones that arnt like the new ones) can either be changed via Icon Installer or through scalos. I shouldnt have no problems now should I?

If you mean the 'Effekt' of the icons:
Turn on the font shadows in
System:Expansion/Scalos/Prefs/scalos
go to 'Icons' tab and change 'Textmode'

Note the colors:Text=Black and Shadow=White
Where do I change the colors for this?

I'm impressed Kitty, you have done an excellent job. Give yourself a pat on the back, you really deserve it

You've actually inspired me to start changing mine now, when I have a little more time

Position/snapshot works for me
See if the icon in scalos/icons is write-protected (shouldn't, but who knows)
