Just been playing the full version of Xenomorphs 2! For those of you who've never played it, it is an RTS based on a popular franchise

What email did you try? I just found a gmail account one from 2009...

Uploaded Xenomorphs 2 to the Zone. can someone add it to the appropriate place on the EAB server please? I still have never quite figured out how that works :P

Wicked, Xenomorphs 2 looks like "Rebelstar Raiders" mixed with "Alien Breed". Now that can't be bad can it !!

That's a pretty spot-on description actually. I used to love playing it with two players back in the 90's

Be warned that it is quite complex and very difficult, but highly atmospheric and sticking to it pays off.

Thanks for all your hard work in getting the game back for us Heavy Stylus!

The game looks excellent - looks almost commercial quality and the user manual is very well written.

This should get an entry into Hall of Light for sure... I am sure the author would be very pleased to see it there.

On another matter - the two email address's for Craig were both old Adelaide University emails and not Gmail - it would be worth giving the Gmail address you have a go.

Sadly, it seems that Xenomorphs 2 is the only game of his to have survived.

The zip disk with the source and his other games has been formatted, and unless he still has some disks at his parents house, this is all that remains. However, one game is better than none

He did release two other games into the PD, but I can only find one of them on Aminet (Culture Tank). The other game was a two player 'space duel' clone allegedly called Starduel, but searches for that draw up a blank.

Anyway... on to the next one.

No news from Craig Burlock yet, but... it seems from the readme that the full game is actually the same as the 'demo'.

"The origional registration system has not been changed, so that any registration codes from the first version will still work in this one."

I'm not sure exactly what this means, but it looks as though there there is either a code you enter in the game to unlock it, or a key file to add to the directory.

Is there anyone who could have a look into this?

As a result of my letter to the author of "Toado" - J.Wills called me today...

Good news... Jim still has his Amiga A600 together with a few floppy disks - although as is usually the case it is all stored up in his loft.

He is very confident that he still has a full version of his game Toado on floppy and has agreed to send it to me!!
I explained in my letter that we have only ever been able to find the Demo version.

I will of course share the full game in the Zone and put a copy of the ADF on the EAB Server as soon as I receive it.

Jim told me that he gave up the Amiga scene shortly after Commodore went bust. He is quite amazed that people are still using Amiga's and is keen to have a play with WINUAE by the sound of it...

He has stressed that it may take some time to get up into the loft and sort things out but I guess we have waited quite a while to get this game back so to wait just a little while longer wont seem so bad... I will update here as soon as I receive the game...

I made the game for "The One Amiga" magazine. It was never really finished and it was rushed due to the mag wanting the game for their next edition.

I did write the full version that featured jetset willy, manic miner and monty mole levels, but I'm unsure if I still have the disk.

If I find it, I'll re-post.

Thanks a lot to everyone who played it, I'm really chuffed with that.

It doesn't look like he has ever posted back and this post is from 2007... I will leave a message for him at Lemon asking him about his full version of the game and see if he comes back to me - I will update here if I hear anything... I don't think that anyone other than the author himself would have a full version by the sound of it...

"The One" Issue mentioned is Issue 80 (May 1995) Click Here

The author of "Platman" (Chizzer or John Hardie) actually left a message on Youtube for me... not good news about finding the full version of Platman I'm afraid...

Hi Peter,

I did do a full game, tweaked the game etc, but I lost the disk! I'm hoping that one of my mates will have it, so i'll report back soon with an answer.

Happy Amiga 25!

Still, maybe one of his friends might still have the disk tucked away somewhere... you never know

I think it was pre 07 when i was on the hunt for this guy, i certainly saw that page but at the time there were no messages like the ones seen there now. Thats a great find though, gives us a nickname to follow (John Hardie was extremely hard name to track down for any contact details) and it proves he's still around and that some "bigger" version does (or did) exist. Did you PM him on the Lemon site ?

edit// Could I see the link to the youtube page you refer to? Thanks for the info

Played it on my A1200 tonight... this is not the demo version!!

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

More details to follow tomorrow...
