[Found: Turrican] There is this game I remember as a child, a Metroid type game.
I remember it very faintly but I would like to play it again.
It was a lot like Super Metroid because I remember you could do a screw attack type thing and you could go through certain walls. When I was younger I thought it was a glitch. Have any of you guys heard of this game? Sorry that I can't give much info I played it a few times and lost the disk due to being around 10 at the time ![]() |

Screw attack, eh?
No, probably not a dirty game but a late platformer. No clue here tho.

The ground was yellow in the bit I played. I think it had 360 direction movement, and never did those little box rooms like in metroid.
I actually played this game before I even heard of metroid. It was a platformer. |

OK, now we all know Turrican has a screw attack ! ! hehe.
There's also Turrican 2 and 3, if the first Turrican wasn't the exact one you played.

I'm currently playing Mega Turrican. Is the Screw Attack in this version also? What's the combo to activate it?

PiesAreBlueGuy's memories are correct - Turrican has the screw attack. Shown in Turrican 3's intro:
![]() | V ![]() | V ![]() But since it's not very useful (the most it could do is squash a moskito which hides behind the screw's head) he doesn't use it in-game. ![]() And since it's in T3 I'm sure it's also in Mega Turrican...

This is not even a 180° turn Would have been funny to see Turrican start the attack, turn upside down and bump headfirst in the ground ![]() But okay, there is a screw in one of the Turrican's ![]() |
