For Sale: (upgraded) Mediator PCI A1200 complete HW setup

(originally posted on www.amibay.com)

After going through ALL my amiga stuff I have decided to let this one go back into the wild.

For your purchasing pleasure I present to you a great bit of hardware The Mediator PCI A1200

I am also including the following -

  • Voodoo 3 based gfx card
  • Sound Blaster sound card
  • 10/100 LAN network card (not pictured)

This particular Mediator has had the CPLD upgrade to allow it to use the new MMCD driver disk from elbox, you can get this from http://www.amigakit.co.uk or http://www.vesalia.de =)

Some features of the Mediator PCI A1200 -
  • four PCI 2.1 compliant slots
  • 33 MHz PCI clock
  • up to 132 MB/s transfer speed between PCI cards
  • works with all existing A1200 processor cards
  • access to the entire 4 GB PCI memory space and to all the required I/O space through the 8 MB Amiga memory window
  • AT power connector

Asking only £90 ono + pnp (that should make some one happy =))

@Alexh

I believe it comes down to the CPLD's and the way the MMCD driver disk is linked to them.

I was tempted but I could not find exact details about the limitations this model has over the newer ones.

It is the one that I use. Never had any issues with it.
IIRC the original mach chips were not compatible with the MMCD.
New Mach chips are sold as part of the MMCD package and overcome any issues.

Seems that Zetr0s one has had the mach chips upgraded.
