Turrican 1 is pretty good too, but it has some design flaws in the last world. You can literally "get stuck in the graphics" when you turn into the circular saw blade. Happens to me 3-4 times.

Turrican 2 is the best game of this series and Turrican 3 is a pure console game, the hook is pretty awful.

The only thing that sucked about Turrican II was that they got rid of the cool cyborg sprites of the original (Universal Soldier) and swapped them for some lame robots.

They also had to cut out three of the original stages (jungle, scrapyard) due to the Amiga's limitations and just added some ridiculously bad Katakis-inspired levels instead.

Of course graphics & sound also lack on the Amiga-version compared to the Genesis-version because the Genesis could have twice the colors on-screen and the awesome Z80a-CPU solely for sound!

Nice full screen, but the Atari ST(E) scrolling? I doubt that he can do it as smooth as on the Amiga.

wow, look at what I started...

I think one thing that kills me about T2 is that damned Bounce gun. That is the most frustrating weapon in a game. Well, that and the change in the tesla-coil like laserbeam attack. I liked that effect in T1

I have not played T3 at all so no opinion, and as I grow more Amiga seasoned maybe my tastes will change but... I just keep playing T1

How come so many people have not played T3, it's still a good game as are the others. Go play it now!

For my 2p worth I'd say I prefer T1 over T2 but that's probably because it's easier!
