Alien Breed is coming back

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog/2009/dec/07/games

Great times on the Amiga back in the early 90s, check out the remake due to be released before the end of the year.

Previous thread about this (merge?):
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=45982

So there is a PC port finally (and 2-player co-op. Online?).
Could be a good surprise for Christmas.

You got banned for playing a pirate pre-release game online? I mean what is the world coming to when you get banned for something as petty as that eh?

Shame, they should've left it as a top down player imo..... Breed '92SE still rules the roost

Well mine is not banned, but I curse the day I updated to 849x.

Apparently it's impossible to find a 360 where I live which isn't updated.

Alien Breed Evolution

Heya all,

Didn't see a thread for this one, just got Alien Breed Evolution for the 360. Fair play its an excellent [ Show youtube player ] of the series by Team 17.

Really captures the spirit of the originals and its nice to see them doing something that isn't Worms.

First installment is 5 levels with single and two player coop modes. PC and PS3 versions will be out Q1 and Q2.

If anyone else is playing throw me a friend request for some coop action.

Cheers

Keep meaning to try this game out - I'll download it later and see what it's like. If I like it and buy the full game I'll chuck a friend request your way if you fancy a game (my tag is GrahamH1986).

I got it on xbox too. its pretty cool and takes a while to play through i think as i have been playing it for 4 hours and still on lvl 3 or 4 i think. It certainly lasts longer than Modern Warfare2. Gamertag PubZombie if anybods wants to send a friend request

I saw this playing at Eurogamer in Leeds a few months back. The Team17 guys were available for chats in one of the few dev booths and told me that it used an Unreal engine, not unlike...

http://www.blackcatgames.com/alienswarm.html

They sniggered when I said a PSP version would be ace, but that was before I knew what it was based on!

Shame about the delayed PS3 release, could do with something to take my mind off this rotten cold today.
