Best antivirus

Yops !

I don't know if prb.apps is the right forum but I didn't saw a general forum about amiga apps.

I'm going to sort all my amiga stuff collection. But before, I'd like to launch a complete scan. There's a lot of antivirus on aminet and I wonder what is the best one ? Which one is the more recent, has the bigger virii db and can decompress most formats while scanning ?

Since they all (most anyway) use the same brainfile (xvs.library) it's just a matter of taste. I'd go with VirusZ like zipper suggested.

I guess that it's not the job of xvs.library to handle compressed file, is it ?
If not then I guess that an antivirus using the best uncompressing library is the best. As VirusZ seems to use xfd/xad master, I guess it makes it a good candidate.

Anyway, I see that the xvs.library last version is from year 2004.
Is that ok ?
Does someone knows if nowadays, some nasty people are still releasing viruses in order to break toys of amiga nostalgics ?

I like VirusExecutor for its GUI. It uses xvs.library, but unfortunately it doesn't work on A500 / A600 (I don't remember, but probably it requires 68020+ CPU).

You sure avira antivir (win32) detects amiga virus's, i tried doesn't know jack. Though is a top notch anitvir for windows. Except not knowing what the threat is when one found, not all computer are internet connected. And those that are is anoying to continualy launch browser to find out what should be built into the software. I'll lokk around to find another antivir software that is designed for user usability.
