[Found: Transplant] Asteroids style game with weapon upgrading system
Hello everyone!
I am looking for an amiga game I played when I visited a friend many years ago. It is very similar to the good old game Asteroids, but more sophisticated. It featured a two-player mode, and it had other enemies (like aliens, space ships or so) in addition to the asteroids floating around. Graphics were 2D just like the original, but of course more advanced and colorful. By far the coolest thing was: For every finished stage you were awarded credits, and with these credits you could buy lots of different upgrades for your space ship, like faster movement or bigger weapons. Can anyone help me out? Thanks a lot in advance ![]() I tried to remember and I can tell the following additional information: The asteroids were of brownish color, similar to Megaroids: http://hol.abime.net/5213 And if I remember correctly, the game was not fixed-screen but a scroller, meaning your space ship would always be at the screen center and the screen would scroll to whatever direction you were going. The background graphics were mostly black I think. No fancy planets or landscapes. Last edited by blabla2k; 21 March 2009 at 22:22. |

Hello guys,
thanks for your quick reply. I'm afraid it's not one of the games you mentioned. Seems to be really hard to find, I guess. I tried to remember and I can tell the following additional information: The asteroids were of brownish color, similar to Megaroids: http://hol.abime.net/5213 And if I remember correctly, the game was not fixed-screen but a scroller, meaning your space ship would always be at the screen center and the screen would scroll to whatever direction you were going. The background graphics were mostly black with little white stars I think. No fancy planets or landscapes. |

Hello,
no it's not Awesome and not Blastar ![]() As I said, there were no fancy background graphics if i remember correctly, only dark space and small white stars. With Poweroids I'm not sure, it could be. I'm trying to get more info about it at the moment ![]() |
