Amiga Explorea and TCP/IP

Hi

I also have a problem with Amiga Explorer and TCP/IP.
I have read the other recent thread but with no luck.
I Amiga Explorer is working fine with serial connection.
When I start EasyNet(to connect to lan) I can ping PC and PC can ping A1200.
I can access the internet with no problems.
When I start AExplorer at the A1200 is says connection: TCP/IP.
When I start Amiga Explorer at the PC I get a message at the A1200:
Error initializing socket connection.
The message at the PC is: Error reading from TCP/IP connection.
I have changed the password at PC in Amiga Explorer and in the AExplorer icon at the A1200.
I have added the line 356 *.*.*.* allow LOG in the inet.access file(no deny lines was present, though).
Hope someone can help, since serial connection is very slow.

Greetings,
I had huge issues with AExplorer too, got it all to work, but the damned thing would stop half way through files, lock up the PC, or restart the Amiga.

Here's a simple tip, create a directory on your PC, share it, then using Easynet, go to hosts and add the directory you created, using the format of;

Machine name:drive/directory, check that you can transfer something from the Amiga to the PC, after you connect to it, if I have more time tonight, I'll give you concise and clear instructions.

It's an absolute whore to get working, but once it does, it's rock solid.

Mhm... I've done that now.... uhm... is it possible to go the "other" way too?

It's taking forever and a month to use "show->all files" in the drawer from the Amiga side... would be handy if I could share a drawer on the Amiga and use TotalCommander to copy whatever I fancied

not sure if it helps, but there is a samba version out there: http://www.birrabrothers.com/tiger/data/samba/ Install guide is also there.
another one here: http://jpv.wmhost.com/NetworkBootDisk/
both not tested, but maybe it works for you.
