Argh Shatterhand. Yesterday I resisted the temptation to buy a packet of Coco pops to get Heart of darkness, then you go on about it. That's it. Tomorrow I'm having brekfast.

Question Who programmed Heart of Darkness?

Does anyone of you know which developmentteam programmed Heart of Darkness?
I somehow recall this team was also responisble for some Amiga titles. Sorry for being extremely vague.

I think the developer was Amazing Studios, which included guys from Delphine, such as Eric Chahi, author of Another World.

Precisely so, CodyJarret. Chahi who was the main guy behind AW had a major part in Heart of Darkness. According to the credits in the manual he created the story, directed the game, and had a part in creating lighting, textures, backgrounds and monster logic too. Truly a man of many skills.

I guess the main reason so many people dismiss this game is because of its insane difficulty level. Too bad, this game deserved better imo.

HAH.. that's great info.. the 1st time I played Heart of Darkness, i thought "Hmm, it plays a lot like Another World" .. well, that's true

I don't think Heart of Darkness is THAT hard.... I reached the last level before my copy died, and my friend (Who isn't that good at action games), finished it ...

Arrow I must get HOD

It's nice to read Eric Chahi is partly responsible for Heart of Darkness. With classics like Future Wars and Another World under his belt, Heart of Darkness can't be that bad. I don't know how difficult this game is, but I can honestly say it cannot get tougher than Evil Twin. I mean, jumping from platform to platform in true 3D makes a game very difficult.

By the way: this thread reminds me of the slogan of Another World which is one of the best I have ever read: 'It took seven days to create the Earth; Another World took seven years'. -Lovely.
