Wanted Apollo 1240's For Spare Parts + 060 Sockets

Ok with all the requests I'm getting to fix these i thought id ask for donor cards for the parts. I'm doing this to provide a service to Amiga users. So if you want to donate Some Amiga blood let me know.

Also i'm having a hard time finding sockets for the 060 processor I'm not asking for donations here just help finding a supplier of them, i did managed to find a supplier but the minimum order is 15 units at 13 us dollars each, i didn't think that was cheap enough so i have not ordered them. So Ideas please, the socket is called a PGA 223 pin its 18 x 18 pins square.

Regards
Dimmy

I'm afraid I've not got anything spare to donate, but if you happen to come across an 80Mhz crystal oscillator, I'd be prepared to buy it off you for my Apollo board.

Steve.

Posting just to bump this and say the its been confirmed that the 060 will NOT fit in a modified socket 3 ZIF from a 486, but the 040 will! So not much use to me.

@Dimlow:

I believe I can get 060 sockets for cheap (< $10). How many do you want? I'll check next time I goes shopping.

OK, I will check when I'm at the shop next.

BTW, I really enjoyed reading your Apollo conversion thread!

Did you ever finally create the variable voltage regulator?

Variable voltage Regulator is not needed, cant remember why the idea came up now. but the regulator i use now ( I'm making a few more soon) has proven to be very good. I do have a new version where you can select between 5v for the 040 ans 3.3v for the 060's. Yes that thread was quite voyage of discovery.

@Zetr0:

No worries! It'd be an honor to help out hardware hackers like you two. First I'll find price ranges, and report back. I'll buy some too as I'm upgrading some cards as well, so I'll ask for discounts on >10 items.
