GVP Impact A500 mod

Hello to all! I wonder if anyone knows if there's a modification for the GVP Impact A500 HDD controller (the old, box-shaped one) to work without the use of a power supply. I know there's a modification like this for the newer GVP HC8+, but I couldn't find any info about the old Impact controller. Anyone?

Pretty much the same: route the power lines on the GVP's A500 connector (Impact side!!!) and route for the Molex connector and nothing more.

Try this one --->> Self-Powered A500 SCSI controller
Tried it on mine and it works fine.
