Kingsoft's Scorpio (http://hol.abime.net/1844) blew me away when I first heard it back in the 80s

Great little RType clone too, but vertically scrolling... An absolute bastard to get running under WinUAE IIRC, too.

D.

Edit: I happen to know the cheat codes for this one - how do I get them added to HOL?

Scorpio works fine here, using WinUAE 1.4.6.

Surprised no one has listed Vectorball. IIRC Gridstart 3 used looped samples too, not sure OTTOMH about Gridstart 1 & 2.

No, it was written by Nightshade so it'll be protracker or a variant of it. i.e. its mod music not a sample.

Yes, but I'm searching for games with music made only with sample loop, nothing more. Jumping Jackson & Aladdin have something more.

What about The Power?

http://hol.abime.net/1122

The soundtrack to that one is just a whole bunch of looped samples from the song of the same name isn't it...?

Labyrinth of Time has some very nice sampled orchestral music. The samples are quite long and spool from your CD or HDD rather than being loading into RAM and looped. http://hol.abime.net/829

I remembered Jumping Jackson was excusively made of samples even on the Atari ST.

I would have say Extase, too.

But I see what you mean.

And i am surprised noone has mentioned OnEscapee.
Samples are files read into memory and played.
