A1200 Kickstart 3.1 - Light gray screen before Kickstart
My A1200 gives me light gray screen before going to Kickstart screen.
Shouldn't it be cycling through different colors before Kickstart screen? Mine stays at light gray. Everything is working OK, so no hardware problems. Is normal with KS 3.1 that it shows only light gray? I know that it indicates that Softare side is ok. It's A1200 Rev 1D4. |

From what you have described your A1200 is carrying out a successful boot sequence, If you were to see any coloured screens that would indicate a fault somewhere.
So no colours = Good news. TC  |

Ok
I just thought it was supposed to cycle through Dark gray, Light gray, White during selftest, because that was what following url says: http://www.amigahistory.co.uk/selftest.html |

My friend that was the sequence for the old KS1.2 / 1.3 days, cant remember if KS2 does that "white" screen too.
Rest assured your system is fine, If you see any coloured screens then you have a problem. TC |
