Fast DELETE command?

Hey there,

I wonder if there is a faster way of deleting folders than the standard DELETE command, which goes through all the files inside a folder before deleting the folder itself for good. Takes ages if there are many files inside a folder ><.

Maybe some special tool?

Hoping strongly that someone can help me out!

Check Detache from Aminet. But it only removes the entry, it does not free the space.

If you want faster file operations you should use a faster file system like PFS3 or SFS.

not sfs, that takes forever to delete stuff as it moves stuff to its own trash folder (small files like ibrowse cache take forever to delete). FFS with 1k block size is almost instant.

You can turn the trash folder off if you wish.
