I'm going to wait until batch two. Hopefully any issues will have been sorted by then.

Well, I've just cancelled my order and wish them the best of luck.

I only hope that the communication from the team continues to improve in the way it has done for the past few days!

That seems to be quite a bone of contention. They don't update that blog often enough, the website isn't the best in the world and they should have stuck with their own forum. Give it a different hook to the GP32's of the world. I know it has strong links to those devices but it will be so much more (if all that is claimed comes true).

With more than one year delay here she finally is - the first complete Pandora:

But only a couple of lucky developers will get the few dozens that'll be assembled now. The majority of the ~4000 preorderers will get it next month I suppose.

Then we can finally have fullspeed Amiga-emulation while sitting on the toilet!

that is a beautiful sight, and only about a year after I hoped I'd see one

I'll be in for batch 2, I think.

I only have laptops (no desktop PCs anymore). But I don't carry them to the bathroom.

my point was, you clearly dont need a Pandora to be able to have a full-speed amiga emulator in the bathroom.

Now that the release-spec is improved i will consider buying one when they finally appear but it still seems a lot of money to fork out though for one emulator (which is all i am really interested in).

I cant help but think by the time that happens, something even better will be along.

Yes, could be. I haven't heard of a similar device with gaming controls yet, but there are always the Chinese who already came out of the blue with the Dingoo. Maybe they'll soon come up with an even more powerful device than the Pandora for a smaller price.

First five mass produced pandoras ready to be sent out to devs that have been working with devboards up until now.

Video of the first mass produced pandora doing some boring stuff.

Michael Weston the projects lead hardware designer is currently checking out these sample mass produced cases and should give the go ahead to the chinese injection moulders to pump out a few thousand cases shortly. (if nothing is wrong with them)

P.S. Its not the same Michael Weston from burn notice...

Thats a no go on the samples, I repeat a no go.

They found some tweaks need to be made so the Chinese have to adjust their moulds and send out more samples which would need approval...

This phone - the ODROID - would be an alternative for Amiga-emulation:

SNES-emulation on it:

Diagonals seem hard to hit on that dpad, but games like Lotus or Turrican (with a separate button for jump assigned) don't need diagonals...

The Pandoras looking really great! I would love to have one but for me I would need a drop in price before I can justify purchasing one. Hopefully it will be successful and following larger batches will see a drop in price.

The storage capacity of Pandora is 512MB internal flash if I understand well. I think it is not enough, if I want to install OS + UAE + MAME and relevant ADFs + ROMs. Am I wrong?

EDIT: now I see "Dual SDHC card slots (up to 64GB of storage currently)". Pardon.

Now, I don't care if the case is made of biscuit or the storage is 48K - I just want my damn Pandora.
