Phew, all complete... Updated / uploaded the full pack, single 7zip files and here's a new DAT

Lucky I have quite a good download / upload speed with my ISP hey, though I did have to lower my torrent speed for a bit

@maimai; you can now start again at "TrainerPack01(not in TOSEC).rar"
Attached Files
File Type: zip Trainer Pack (not in TOSEC).zip (10.8 KB, 79 views)

Hmmm, while doing some renaming I noticed that sometimes in the TOSEC DATs there are "country" or "language" appeviations in both lower case or sentence case e.g. "de-en" and "Dk" / "Fr" / "It" / "Pl"

Spoke with Sir Belgo about this and he offered his insight / wisdom

Nebulus (19xx)(United Software)(De)(en)[1587]

country flag first followed by language

so looking at that country should always start with an uppercase letter and the language flag is always lowercase.

so if you saw (De) on it's own then it's the country, the language is the same so there's no need for a language flag

if it had two languages like english and german then it doesn't get a country flag but it does get a language flag which is always lowercase so (en-de).

hope that makes sense
Yeah, I think so. Cheers

...that means that I need to change 2 entries in the maimai pack:

Cedric and the Lost Sceptre (1995)(neo)(En-De)(Disk 1 of 6)[cr HF][t +4 HF].adf
*** changed to ***
Cedric and the Lost Sceptre (1995)(neo)(en-de)(Disk 1 of 6)[cr HF][t +4 HF].adf

Cedric and the Lost Sceptre (1995)(neo)(En-De)(Disk 2 of 6)[cr HF].adf
*** changed to ***
Cedric and the Lost Sceptre (1995)(neo)(en-de)(Disk 2 of 6)[cr HF].adf

Updated the full pack, single 7zip files and here's a new DAT... Hopefully that is everything and no more changes need to be made

Sorry for the f$%kups I've made so far guys

Some other infos about Country and Language fields:

Country

This field is used to classify the country of origin. Some systems will have a standard country, and this should be omitted from the individual entries and a comment could be placed in the comment field of a .dat to reflect this.

Country Flag Possibilities:
Code:
Flag Description
AE United Arab Emirates
Al Albania

Ex: (De-GB) Released in Germany and the United Kingdom
Ex: (De-Fr) Released in France and Germany
Ex: (Eu-US) Released in Europe and the US

Country Flag Samples:

Code:
• Legend of TOSEC, The (1986)(Devstudio)(US)
• Legend of TOSEC, The (1986)(Devstudio)(Jp)
• Legend of TOSEC, The (1986)(Devstudio)(De)
• Legend of TOSEC, The (1986)(Devstudio)(De-Fr)
Language

The language used in game.

Some systems will have a standard language, and this should be omitted from the individual entries, for example, Atmos Oric is predominantly a French system, so in an Atmos Oric datfile only non‐French software would need this field entering (so you don't end marking all sets (fr)). Typically, English only titles do not require marking as such.

In cases of more than two languages or countries being required, (Mx) is used to represent multiple languages, where x is the number of languages.

Ex: (M3) for 3 languages
Ex: (M4) for 4 languages
Ex: "Legend of TOSEC, The (1986)(Devstudio)(M3)"

In the case of two languages being required, both are given separated by a hyphen:
Ex: (en‐fr) Contains English and French versions
Ex: (es-pt) Contains Spanish and Portuguese versions
Ex: (de-fr) Contains Deutsch and French versions

NOTE: When 2 languages are in use they should be alphabetically ordered, if one is english then it always comes first [eg. (en-xx)].

Language Flag Possibilities:
Code:
Flag Description
al Albanian

Thats it, hope it helped, i've already said it before but all flags have to follow an specific order and when both are used, language is always after the country flag.

Anything more just ask

I would presume some of those are in the wrong order, because I always thought the languages were in alphabetical order?

So (En-De) would actually be (De-En) for example.

humm good question,
i have the idea that when En or en is present they always tried to put it in the first place [(en-de) instead of (de-en)], about the others i have no idea if there is a rule and if the rule is to use alphabetical order but i guess it would be better to have some rule, hope someone knows it or we will have to wait for [idoru] explanation.

THANKS FOR SPECIAL FORCES AND APIDYA TRAINER!!!

Special Forces didn't have a trainer and now I must see if the Apidya trainer contains a level selector.

Many thanks for these maimai

I've run some checks, here's what I've found:

Hudson Hawk (1991)(Ocean)[cr CSL][t +3 Ache & Extensors].adf
*** should be***
Hudson Hawk (1991)(Ocean)[cr CSL][t +3 Ache + Extensors].adf

Jetstrike (1993)(Rasputin)(AGA)(Disk 1 of 4)[cr PSG][t +1 AC].adf
*** should be***
Jetstrike (1993)(Rasputin)(AGA)(Disk 2 of 5)(1)[cr PSG][t +1 AC][bootable].adf

These filenames are currently in TOSEC:

Bubble and Squeak (1995)(Audiogenic)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr PDX][t +7 ATX].adf {CRC32: 87022CBF}

Bubble and Squeak (1995)(Audiogenic)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr PDX][t +7 ATX][a].adf {CRC32: CA482708}

X-It (1995)(Psygnosis)(Disk 1 of 2)[t +7 AC].adf {CRC32: 909B28A4}

This means that the new versions in your pack should be named:

Bubble and Squeak (1994)(Audiogenic)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr PDX][t +7 ATX].adf {CRC32: 38E10F47}
*** should be***
Bubble and Squeak (1995)(Audiogenic)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr PDX][t +7 ATX][a2].adf

Thank you for checking, DamienD.
If the same trainer for the same game/crack already exists this files should be removed from my pack.
I dont like thousands [a], [a1], [a2] and so on.
But remember this is my personal opinion.
Tell me about.

I don't agree, you should keep all alternative versions...

Without testing the whole crack, who's to say that "Bubble and Squeak (1994)(Audiogenic)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr PDX][t +7 ATX].adf" works perfectly all the way through. The same can be said for "Bubble and Squeak (1994)(Audiogenic)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr PDX][t +7 ATX][a].adf" and "Bubble and Squeak (1994)(Audiogenic)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr PDX][t +7 ATX][a2].adf"...

There are many good examples of why to keep [a] versions in the The bad cracks / 100% working games thread. Here and here for instance

Probably you are right. My opinion remains.
In some cases a [a]version is inevitably, especially NDOS-disks.
But sometimes only 1 byte is different, so you have different crc32.
For example:edited startup-sequence

Have I ever mentioned that we really need the [!] tag for more games? Like Damien said you never know if an [a] version might be the correct dump while the 'normal' disk is bogus. On the other hand I agree with maimai, because even a saved hiscore changes the CRC32. I will try to play through some of the new trainers and report if they are completely playable, so we can start to mark the disks with [!]'s

CRC check ok, all not in TOSEC.
Uploaded to MagixFTP
I have compared with HOL database and last TOSEC-dat.
This time i have checked the "t tag" closer, to be more accurate.

HMMM.... A new version of HUDSON HAWK, great! Alltough this is another Crystal crack so it might be that this one either won't work with my Amiga! I have tested all those versions from TOSEC and every time the same thing:

Amiga loads the game about 2 seconds and then it hangs with absolutely horrible disk torture sound from the drive. I mean the sound is very loud, it's like some one would be drilling inside the machine!!

Guys I need your help on this!

I've put the umpteenth version of the SKR crack of ShockWave in the zone.

TOSEC holds two hacks of the SKR TRAINED version:
[h Spaikers] and [h Decay].

Can anyone confirm my assumption that this one does not deserve a [h ...]?

There is no sign of a hack by any other group. Only files by Skid Row on the disk and no other cracktro or something when it loads. I would also say this is a genuine Skid Row crack. Nice find andreas
Edit : Hmm, but in this version the Skid Row cracktro is removed. Don't know what that means...

This one is directly off an old CD, not modified. (Also write protected after unDMSing to be sure nothing got written to it)

That aside, a question:

What is the latest Compilations-Games dat? I have 2006-04.17, maybe there's a newer one. This compilation stuff should be revised ASAP because I have tons of Astronut compacts which all should be in there. (but maybe need some renaming fixes first)

The newest is 'Commodore Amiga - Compilations - Games (TOSEC-v2006-09-10_CM).dat'. I've uploaded it to the zone for you.

Doesn't make any difference, all Skid Row versions are not 100% cracked properly, the enemy patterns are all screwed up because the Copylock wasn't decoded and the code inside ripped and executed.

Thanks for the info Galahad. Is the Classic crack 100% then?

Interesting insight, thanks Galahad.
How does this "enemy patterns" thing actually make visible to the player?
(making the game too hard or what??)

@Cyber
Thanks for the dat.
But I think I've had it now with these bit-by-bit requests...
Can anyone point me to a location where I can get ALL the latest DATs so that I do not have to request file by file and get too annoying? (RC/CM format please!)

You can get the lastest package here : http://www.tosec.org/

tosec.org has a package for download for RC/CM users? Are you really serious?
Well, by now, I have only seen tosec.org advertise their TIM bloatware, so I did not bother looking there anymore...

I haven't gone there yet, but I could assume you will have to register again to download the dat.
In the meantime, I've found it myself

http://www.romshepherd.com/oldnews.php

-> scroll down to 14th March 2007 and you can get the complete DAT!!

One thing is funny too: these dats are *NEWER* than the ones you can download bit by bit on the same site! ( http://www.romshepherd.com/dats.php?tosec )
Games-ADF: inside the zip, you will find the 2006-10-19, but as single file, they still have 2006-06-15! (note this was only an example, the majority of files on the single-file page are too old, so don't bother downloading those)

Yes I am. The dats are all CM compatible (I think they are even made with it, since TIM isn't errorfree ) and no you don't have to register. Sometimes the answer is just one click away...

like TheCyberDruid said they are all available at tosec.org, its even in the main page you just have to scroll down a bit, actually there is no other (useful) page for now since we lost the .info were the site/forum was hosted.

About romshepherd, the individual dats aren't up to date but the first 2 entries are (came from tosec.org):
.TOSEC DAT Collection - Complete (TOSEC-v2007-03-14 CM) (18.38 MB)
.TOSEC New & Updated Only (TOSEC-v2007-03-14 CM) (9.47 MB)

From tosec.org:
Most recent complete dat pack (20070314 - 746 dats)
New and updated dats from last release (20070314 - 218 dats)
ISO Cuesheet pack

From toseciso.org:
Download current dats (latest iso wip dats - v2008-09-28 - 90 dats)
