Problems playing certain, the best games..

Hi folks,

Any of the games i really want to play dont work on whdload, either i get the register or else message or, "Dos error on reading devs:kickstarts/kick34005.a500",, anyone?

And streetrod 1 and 2 in the zone dont work either, same message

cheers Baz

Hi bazzza1975,

do you have the rtb and pat files in the drawer? Do you have the file kick34005.a500 in devs/kickstarts of your system partition? If you are missing the rtb and pat files here is the package with them : http://aminet.net/package/util/boot/skick346

Are you using WinUAE or a real Amiga? If you are using WinUAE the system partition is the first mounted HD in WinUAE with a Workbench installation (DH0: in most cases).

You need to copy them in the folder 'devs/kickstarts' of DH0:. If necessary create the folder 'kickstarts' in devs. You need all three files there : kick34005.a500, kick34005.rtb and kick34005.pat.

the Devs: drawer must by on system disk, is it?
direction is Devs:\Kickstarts\ (all files there)
and check for sure if missing some Kickstart Image file..

And streetrod works

Top tip, buy the triple GM manifold, as it fits on most cars, and its cheap.
Gonna see if the king is out in his vette tonight...

cheers Baz

I know, its only a game.

It may only be a game but to your 1200 it means new life is being breathed into it

You should consider registering WHDLoad. It makes using it so much nicer (no waiting and everything works) plus there's the warm and fuzzy feeling you'll get. Hard to put a price on that.

While I'm thinking of these things, in future you know about WHDownLoad, right? I find it an invaluable resource.

Yes i am just about convinced, not long now before i register, as a thank you to those guys bringing, what i consider real games back to life. New console/pc games just dont do it for me.
Except for counterstrike, and deltaforce landwarrior, although the last dont run on my pc, cause of the firewall downer!!!
I used to love that game, take the sniperrifle extra ammo and head for the hills. Hide and shoot kill at further than 1km.
