Arrgh,

Fail again. No broken connections this time.

Well reverting to version 2.2.

Any other free FTP clients that are known to work?

Any FTP client that isn't filezilla v3.

There are some horrible clients out there. Stick with what you know works or try others suggested above.

Well from my experiences FileZilla 2.2 worked very well. It's the client that I used most, on normal ftp and sftp.
8 years ago used CuteFTP Pro an ancient version that worked truly well. Fast without one single problem. But that was in a network environment on a company i used to work. But it's not free.

There are a bunch of them just search "Free ftp client". I know a guy who use FireFTP for Firefox and is happy with it. The problem is if your firefox goes down, so your uploads/downloads.

Now i see you problem you need the client to redial the broadband dialup connection or else it stays down. Filezilla doesn't seem to do that. TurboFTP has it on the setting tab DUN.

Though this seems more a problem of your isp or pc. That is dropping the broadband connection, that needs fixing not to do it. Magix ftp i'm sure is not dropping the connection, someone look at the magix logs will know more.

Yes exotic you are absolutely right. I have an adsl connection and sometimes it's stays stable for days, sometimes falls several times during the day.

I wished i had my cable connection that i have in other place. rock solid. but too faraway for me now.

In 10 min i'll see if filezilla 2.2 does it right.

Thanks

It won't redial your adsl connection i know i've just tested it. Don't know if v3 has a redial option or not, maybe not or you would have found it. Time to seek out cuteftp, i'm sure it will be your best ftp friend once again.

Yes indeed. Failed again with 2.2 same problem. Well at least i don't have traffic limit. just the time is wasted.

But i'm behind a router not directly connected to the modem.

A router should allow for a reconnect, if software initiates the redial.

Hi calibra,

good to hear you're also working on a FTP The space on Magix FTP is limited and it would be cool to have another place to store some CD images
Until then if you want some CD32 games just name them and I will upload them to Magix FTP for now

God Damn two new ftp sites going live that's excellent news. Can either say how much ftp space you will have available on them. Are they to be local or remote servers.

Anyone else got an ftp they want like to share here with us here.

Its a resource we all love - the amiga data resource.

Hi guys,

Finally all went well, and I've finished uploading to CD32 folder:

Project-x/Bodyblows
Microcosm
Oscar/Diggers
Pinball Fantasies
Speedball2
SuperSkidmarks

I've uploaded also to /rare CDTV:

Turrican I and II

I wish to thank Jack98 who provided the link of the original download.

Later on I'll upload the remaining 7 titles:

Workbench Add-On Vol1 (Schatzruhe)
Euroscene 1 (Almathera)
Sounds Terrific I (Weird Science)
Sounds Terrific II (Weird Science)
17 Bit - Phase Four (Almathera) (not this already uploaded)
Zoom (Active Software/Ground Zero)
Multimedia Toolkit 2 (Weird Science)

I wish to thank all the guys who helped me yesterday about my FTP problems. Big thumbs up.

Thanks for a great community of Amigans. Loving EAB.
