Well I am an old fart....

I meant either getright or flashget. I use flashget regularly.

On another matter...

One thing I will have to check and I am sure it must be mentioned in this thread somewhere... is if I softmod my other Xbox it has quite a bit of downloaded game content on it - how would I back up and re-install these downloads (maps etc..)

It shouldn't touch them. Just be careful with things like slayers disk which can wipe the xbox.

No probs with FBA-XXX 1.28.
Also FBA-XXX lets you set up the screen much better.

I downloaded the BigAss Mame 3a Emulator disk files again but I have encountered the same problem when attempting to extract... see attached... it is file 1 that is the problem by the look of it - any ideas?

Hmm, I had a feeling you'd have the same problem. Let me grab them and I'll get back to you.

Hi seuden - just wondered if you had any luck with the mame disk from the bigass emulator set?

I tried to PM you but your inbox is full...

Had some spare time at work.

I managed to download it and unpack it with no obvious problems. It also burnt to disk and mounted in Daemon tools ok but neither the virtual or physical disk can be read.

Let me know if you still want a copy as I'll post one off to you

EDIT: Apparently you can't mount xbox iso's normally (thanks KG) so want me to post you a dvd? If so do you want it burnt as a iso on DVD or shall I imgburn the iso?

Did you close the session?

You can mount them fine but Windows doesn't have an xISO file system driver. You need something that understands the file system. Google for xISO.

Thanks for checking this out seuden and thanks for offering to send it to me!

Ideally I would like to see if I can play it straight from the DVD so if you could image burn the iso to a DVD and send it - that would be great...
If you could stick the extracted file on another dvd for me to have a play with I would be really grateful!

Is your inbox clear for me to PM you my address?

Hi,

I use the evox loader menu system and it works fine, i use coinops for mame, zsnes 2.9 for snes, Winuaex for Amiga ( i have it set up to load the whd images via a menu screen that offers the user to read the docs, cheats etc and then continue loading into the game. I am up to the letter "T" for finishing all the gamer loaders. I think it works pretty good, I'll post a video in a couple of days once i get a free bit of time, had a lot on the go lately.

One thing i had to do with winuaex is change all the default paths to the same directory as the emulator executable to make it easier to port to other people if they wanted to use the same structure etc.

Of the 4 discs, the mame one is the one you should install, its much faster and less wear on the optical drive...

That is a good point.

I guess stage two of this Xbox set up for me is going to be getting a bigger hard drive installed as there seems to be tons of stuff available to install.

DVD's sent 1st class.

EDIT: Btw, you'll definitely be better off getting a larger HDD and having all the xbox1 games run from it, there's a program that easily installs xbox game .isos to your xbox over a network so you don't even have to burn any DVD's.
