legend software failure red box

Hiya my problem is as the subject says using winuae and when I try to save a game thats when I get software failure, btw I use the folder in the winuae gui options for a hard disk

I know on linux euae I needed to alter some config file manually but Im not even sure if that applys with winuae and how to go about it? This is the first graphics game iVE TRied , would anyone have good settings? and the best way for me to deal with saves until my amiga arrives

Thanks all Its not a big deal and its cool because theres a good reason why its good to have an amiga(asuming its emulation related that is) Also I have winuae on full screen but theres a bottom half of my screen njust renders black, I think my monitor rez is approximatly 1024*768 Also believe it or not the game seems to be running a bit slow in emulation mode

CPU = 6804
rom = KS ROM v3.1 (A4000) rev 40.68 (512k)
Extended rom = blank , having not had an amiga Im not sure of the purpose of this
Cpu emu speed = fastest possible but maintain timing
chipset = aga
Advanced settings = compatible chipset ticked
ram = chip 4MB, z3 fast 8MB
Native and rtg mode = fullscreen

Hi dword,

could you post the config you use (or name the quickstart option ). Do you use disk images or have you installed the game to a virtual harddrive?

Okay, so you have the disks mounted inside WinUAE (there are no disks 'floppy0' and so on)? I would suggest you use a A1200 quickstart and put the disks in the floppy slots inside WinUAE. If use the floppies this way you could use WinUAE savestates instead of the ingame save function (you find them in the 'Misc' window).

Thanks again I will try that out btw , I kinda figured some stuff out late last night , I think if I just specified VolumeName:save it saved to a virtual HDD which was a windows folder. I am going to check out misc as well and do what you have said, have yet to try legend again , I will do that today.
