Erm, just an idea... why not include some info on the games (as much as you can get)? Look at the start of the thread to see what I mean
Btw : Will make new HOL conform DBS for the games I 'reviewed' soon

Ah cool Another World
I think your screenshots are okay (easy for Cody to make a DBS from them). Guess there will be some new entries in the next time (more food for 'Guess the screenshot' )

There are all in the lastest TOSEC PD dat, so they're not too hard to get hold of Some of them are actually Shareware and others might be full productions which had no publisher.

I have no access to TOSEC, so an upload to the Zone would be enough

What appears in this thread would be ok. A few of the last games Another World put here could be quite interesting.

Maniacball aroused my curiosity, so for those tempted to try it:
- in 2-player mode, each player controls the horizontal (p1) or vertical (p2) bat(s).

- there can be 1 or 2 bats for each axis (2*2 in the screenshot AW posted, 2*1 in the second level in which the left and top sides are a wall)

- in 1-player mode, the player controls both axis (mouse X moves the horizontal bat(s), mouse Y moves the vertical bats)

- not 100% sure but the bat that is 'highlighted' (in blue), i.e. the last to have been touched by the ball, is the one that will receive the effect of power-ups

If I remember correctly Quackers have some problems with object animation/speed. Could you upload Qboid to the Zone?

No, but sometimes without correct aspect ratio some parts of screen are not visible.

That's not true.

You need to make your winuae screen bigger.

I think he's talking about that with 640x480 fullscreen it's not visible. Guess we should mention that it's a good idea to use window mode when taking screenshots

infact also at 640x512 and correct aspect ratio OFF result is the same
Reason is simply a different resolution of the game
Well for some games enabling correct aspect ratio (in the old versions that is) fixed some missing lines when played at 640x480 fullscreen. With the new feature (autoscale) it should also work with overscan games

I always use windowed mode when taking screenshots.

640x480 is never enough for taking screenshots for HOL.

Not tried it yet, but AW listed it as strategy, so I would think it is more in the lines of Space Crusade than Alien Breed (not necessarily a bad thing).
However, I completeley agree that in terms of graphics it really seems to draw inspiration from AB.

Well I've tried it and it's very much like Alien Breed, but take out the Aliens and make it two player only Maybe Another World means it's strategy because you don't shoot down endless waves of enemies Not a bad game with two players actually

So it's a dueling (deathmatch) game?
Are 2 humans players mandatory or is there some opponent AI?

I'll try to find a few minutes to try it tonight.
