Its rather obvious how bad piracy was on the SNES when I can see lots of people listing Chrono Trigger as a favourite, as I recall, it was Jap/US release only, not Euro.

I used my Amiga to send SNES games stored on the hard drive to the Super Magicom via parallel port cable

Edit: Backup purposes only of course. You know how delicate those cartridges are. Wouldnt want them to break and loose my data.

Well in my case I read the top 3 favorite games of John Romero and he listed Chrono Trigger as #1, which got me intrigued enough to play it in an emulator. And after finishing it twice I had to agree with him, it is one damned fine RPG.

Galahad, a lot of SNes games gained their popularity with emulators and internet.

And don't forget we are on Amiga's forum and I believe many still believe that piracy (and not people like Bill McEwen ) killed Amiga.

The Lost Wikings was more fun on SNES then on amiga just because of gamepad. Same goes for Flashback where additional buttons make game more enjoyable.

(when I think about that, all Amiga games suffered from 1-2 button joystick, especially fighting games)

The machines most easy to copy games on is the one who survive

Same for Final Fantasy and lots of PRG's. But have you ever seen this :

I really had Final Fantasy II (4 in Japan), Final Fantasy III (6 in Japan) and Chrono Trigger as a cartridge back then and used the adapter to play them. Mine needed a PAL cartridge to be placed together with the US game in the adapter. So it was possible to legally play US releases here in Europe

I agree Dizzy, as there is a life span for all computers, and Commodore made a few mistakes finding a good and cheap successor for A500/A1200. (imho Commodore itself killed Amiga)

@ TheCyberDruid - you having cart to convert the game from NTSC to PAL still does not mean it is legal. They didn't want you to have cool games.

We agreed many times so far that Nintendo is evil. They don't like us to have emulation either.

That's why Ian loves them more then $ony.

I bought the f**cking game dammit, so it better was legal I had even bought a NTSC Super Famicom, but the (it's no Action Replay ) was much cheaper and it was advertised in most game magazines at the time. I just want to say the game I played back then was a real cartridge and not a 'backup thingy'
