Todd's CF equipped A1200

Howdy folks!

I still haven't decided if I want to remove the RF shield from my A1200, but thought I would show some pics of it after adding a 4 gig Sandisk Ultra II CF card tonight.

Notice the high tech monitor stand in place.

I used double sided tape to attach a piece of plastic to the bottom of the CF adaptor as to prevent it from shorting out. Then I attached velcro to hold it down to the RF shield. That way its easy to take out if needed. As you can see, I did the HD led mod. Can't possibly go without that.

My a1200 is an NTSC unit with a Dataflyer 1200 scsi module and a Microbotics 1200z fastram/fpu unit in the trapdoor. Need to pick up an accelerator some time.

According to Sysinfo, the CF card gets about 2.2 megabytes/sec transfer. Not too shabby.

Very nice

My RF shield is getting in the way, think I might have to lose it. Any ideas on how to secure the CF card and gubbins without a shield to stick it on

I love that little data-flyer... its cute and 2.2MB r/w is pretty damn good for only a fast mem equipped miggy!!

Yup, worked a treat.

Though I did have to solder to the other side of the LED to get it to function.

My 1084s is also a D-2 model. Little yellowing on the backside, but the front is clean and it has an excellent picture on it considering its 16 years old. . Though I do see a scandoubler/flicker fixer and VGA monitor in my future.
