AUI Vol 6 No 6 - Wrong coverdisk image

AUI Volume 6 No 6 (June 1992)

http://amr.abime.net/issue_956_coverdisks (AUI)

The coverdisk jpeg image is showing as a duplicate of the previous month's coverdisk image.

On a couple of other coverdisks for CU Amiga I found the files were missing:

http://amr.abime.net/issue_621_coverdisks (November 1994)

Second disk (Football Glory) returns a 'file not found' when link is clicked

http://amr.abime.net/issue_616_coverdisks (June 1994)

Disk 85 (Sierra Soccer) also returns a 'file not found' when link is clicked

Is this because you guys don't have the disks, the filenames are perhaps wrong, or have they been withdrawn from AMR due to copyright or some other reason?

It's probably because the links are incorrect. Galaxy will have to sort out the problem here.

I'll have to check it out. We've been having some problems with the coverdisk hosting on Zetr0's server which could be the cause of this.

Ok for some reason disk 95 was missing - so I've uploaded it. I've removed the link for disk 85 which I don't have a copy of.

Thanks for letting us know about the errors.

Out of curiousity, I noticed that a lot of the AF disks that are missing are games/game demos (eg Issue 63, Operation G2 demo).

Is there a reason for this? Are any not allowed? I can go off hunting for them but don't wanna bother if there's a reason for them not being there. :-)

Some are copy protected, and others we don't have.

Don't know if it's worth it/possible in the database, but might it be an idea to flag the copy protected/copyrighted ones as being so, instead of showing them as just 'missing'???

I'll often put a note on the record if I discover a copy protected coverdisk. We hope to provide IPFs of them eventually but for game demos it isn't as much of a priority.
