Amiga, Inc. announces the Amiga® Anywhere™

http://www.amiga.com/corporate/031202-anywhere.shtml

Some Amiga food for the mind from Amiga Inc.

Also, if you have a sat dish Bill McEwen from Amiga will be on TechTV tommorrow.

http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/i...0,3334,00.html

I am going to record it on my PVR so if anyone needs a copy sent to them on VHS I could do it for the cost of the tape and mailing. I know everyone does not have a dish.

I get TechTV on my cable system

Thanks for the info...

EDIT: I wonder if this has to do with my emailing TechTV about the Amiga scene in general and the emu's as well. I sent them a shitload of links including EAB

Hmm, so what is Bill actually saying, when translated from marketing-speak to normal English? It seems to be saying that there will be AmigaDE-powered mobile phones? If so, didn't we all know that already?

Okay I just watched the segment with Bill McEwen and yes it's about their embedded OS. Actually it looks pretty nice in that it runs platform independent as it uses a licensed HAL that automatically loads according to the device it's going to run on. I think Bill called this technology Intent.

Yes he mentioned in passing the Amiga One and it's PPC based OS4 but I do see where it could be possible to run Amiga Legacy software using this software based HAL and perhaps something like WHDload or something similar.

To bad there was no mention of the Amiga emu scene and the fact that you can run it on many different platforms as well

EDIT: no cell phones were shown running Amiga DE only PDA's both old and new. Right now they only have x86 and Linux versions available and should have more flavors soon.
