IIRC, the AWeb site lost their hosting a while back. No idea if a new one has been setup elsewhere.

PS: I am really sorry for those webmasters/site owners who didnt like i linked their files. My sincere appologies!
TBH, I think that's an over reaction.
Maybe the website owner simply overhauled their site, and the files are just at a different URL ?

IMHO direct linking to files isn't a good thing anyway. What happens if the author releases an update and deletes the old version from their site?
(Note to self, update my website!)

Finally, if they did object to having direct links to their work, how do you think they'd react to finding their work copied in a torrent or website without their permission ?

@Doobrey you are right, I edited my posts accordingly

Links redone so that the authorīs website in most cases should be viewed.
I removed the link to the packed zip file.

How can I "slipstream" the BB#1,2 & 3 onto my AmigaOS3.9 CD?

Is it feasible?

@alexh

Well at first sight, it should be fairly straightforward, you should grab, an ISO editor (I use UltraISO on Windows) and copy files to their respective locations. You should make sure to take a look at the AmigaOS Installation script, just some editing would be needed to acomodate the newly added files.

The difficult task, where i find it hard to solve, is when you have to integrate kickstart rom update patches that we have in the shape of single individual files for each type of Amiga model.

For now, we are unable to rebuild the AmigaOS Rom Update files with Remus or other tools yet. So you will hit the wall here. The best way would be if Doobrey or some other talented Amiga programmer ads Rom Update rebuilding support.!

PS: I thought long ago about spreading a slipstream patch, so that anyone, who owned an original copy could get an updated AmigaOS 3.9 CD. I found a program on Aminet called PatchGen, that does pretty much the same as spatch, but with big files and encryption. So the idea was that you had to make an ISO image of your AmigaOS 3.9 CD and then download the patchfile, and apply it using PatchGen. But, i could never solve the AmigaOS Rom Update issue

Already onto it. I was looking at Setpatch at the weekend to see what the various flags were for each machine and/or CPU type.
Interestingly (for me anyway) I found there's also a way for Setpatch to only load a given resident in the ROM Update file if an expansion card with a given ID is found. But, I think it's slightly bugged and will only work for Product IDs that are even!

Anyways, no ETA yet, the ROMUpdate stuff is part of a larger app (Blame Toni! )

Nice to know someone is thinking about it.

Only reason I thought of it is because I regularly slipstream the latest updates and hardware drivers onto my custom Windows XP Pro installation disc.

Thumbs up

@PeterK & Ratte
Thanks for all info, sadly I didnt notice the follow-ups on this thread before doing a "rerun" over at amiga.org. I'll try some more with 45.5.5.

The next thing is to make a generic 68000 compatible OS3.9 Prefs center program, hehe

@kolla

It would be really great to have a a generic 68000 compatible OS3.9 Prefs center program. Have you seen the one that Morphos uses? Thats the one i would like to have

Yes, I know (got a peg1), but I imagine something more akin to MUI Prefs, that fits better on lowres display (scrollable). I find the choice the MorphOS team did somewhat odd, it almost looks like an ordinary folder window with the icons strangely center aligned, I actually like better the old one from 1.4.x
